1. Coordinate Shipments: Arrange and coordinate the pickup, transportation, and delivery of packages and documents for international clients.
2. Export and Import Documentation: Prepare and process all necessary export and import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, customs declarations, and shipping labels.
3. Customs Compliance: Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws in both the exporting and importing countries. Stay updated on changes in regulations to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
4. Shipment Tracking: Monitor and track the progress of shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their shipments.
5. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and handling complaints related to export and import shipments.
6. Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers to arrange transportation, handle customs clearance, and manage any issues that may arise during transit.
7. Pricing and Quotations: Prepare accurate pricing quotations for export and import shipments based on factors such as weight, destination, mode of transportation, and insurance requirements.
8. Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks and challenges related to export and import shipments. Implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure the secure movement of goods.
9. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on export control regulations, embargoes, sanctions, and other international trade compliance requirements to ensure adherence during the shipment process.
10. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of export and import transactions (outward and inward remittance, including shipment details, documentation, and any relevant communication.
11. Preparation of Bank Documents/Purchase & follows up for collection and dealing with Bank for transaction and GR clearance (EDPMS).
12. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
13. Understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping software may be required.
14. Handling basic office tasks, such as filing, delivering & answering emails, and data entry.
