Tanveer Wani

I have merited a degree in Bachelor of Science from the University of Kashmir, followed by Masters in Physics from Barkatullah University. I was awarded Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph. D) in Physics by Barkatullah University in February, 2012.

Since then, I have engaged in teaching and tutoring both lower-level and upper-level physics courses.  I am also involved in the study of behaviour of materials at high pressure and temperature. These include superhard materials, high-temperature superconductors, high energy density materials and nano-materials.

I have to my credit 45+ research articles in various journals of national and international repute. I have attended & presented my work at more than 30+Conferences,Seminars and Workshops. I have been a part of 10Training Courses and Faculty Development Programmes as well. I have also co-authored two subject books, entitled “Basic Environmental Physics” and “A Textbook of Engineering Physics Laboratory” for undergraduate & postgraduate courses.

I have been recipient of a few honours/awards and recognitions as well for my work. The prominent among them was Fellowship for Training of Young Scientists in 2013, the Young Scientist award in 2010, Certificate of work by Rashtriya Seva Yojana (in accordance by UNICEF) in 2010 and a couple more.

In addition, I have an experience in academic administration as an Internal Quality auditor and member accreditation. I have demonstrated proficiency in all core office administration functions, internal/external communications and task prioritization.

1. 10+ Years Experience in University Teaching and Research. 
2. Five Years Experience in Academic Administration as an Internal Quality Coordinator, Auditor and Member Accreditation.
