Experience

  • Working as a Project engineer in the operation, inspection, and repair of Capital Drilling Equipment’s (Marine Risers, Telescopic joints, and co-flex hoses).
  •  Physically participate in carrying out processes to gain a fundamental understanding of them and doing    draft procedures as required report effectively to management and Customers. 
  • Working in various clients VANTAGE, SPC-QGOG, UNIVERSAL, TRANSOCEAN knowledge in Acker clip type risers, Cameron R/F type risers and NOV R/F type risers and Telescopic joints.
  • Knowledge in precision Measuring equipment’s (OD micrometer, ID micrometer, Depth gauge and seal grooves measuring equipment, Verniers)
  • Performed the Borescope inspection / Repair on Co-flex hoses and hydraulic hoses.
  • Knowledge in weld repairs of Marine risers and Telescopic joints.
  • List of equipment’s and other devices to be used were calibrated and calibration certificate has been provided prior to usage.
  • To carry out Pre, during and post welding inspection activities.
  • Pre welding activities like check, review and verifying the applicable code, standards, or specifications to be implemented on the job is up to date with latest revision or amendment.
  • Joints to be welded should comply with approved WPS requirements like joint design, root gap, rot face, bevel angle, pre heat (if any).
  •  To check, monitor and record the voltage, amperage & travel speed for the runs in order to control the heat inputs on the weld joint.
  • To check, root penetration, imperfections, defects, surface cleanliness of each runs.
  • After welding, weld cleanliness, weld face, weld height to be checked as per acceptable standards.
  • If any defects are observed, repairs to be carried out with approved repair procedures.
  • To carry out the necessary NDT activities for further verification.
  • If PWHT is required, it should be monitored and recorded. 
  • If pressure test is required, it should be monitored and recorded.

Education

  • B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Nova College of Engineering & Technology affiliated by JNTU Kakinada in 2015.
