Position: GENERAL MANAGER – Accounts, Finance, Banking, Forex, Documentation & Compliance

I joined as Finance Manager in this organisation in 2006 & handling overall Accounts, Finance, Banking & Documentation as well as Merchandising – communication with overseas customers and handling HR -Social & Technical compliance additionally from 2009 & Promoted as General Manager. 

Accounts & Finance (including Banking, Forex), Documentation & Merchandising:

  • Managing office administration in Accounts, Finance, Banking, Tax planning & Finalisation of Indian Companies, Foreign Companies & E-Commerce Business Operations. 
  • Planning & organizing funds management, proper allocation & utilization of funds, Receivables & Payables follow-ups, finalizing monthly stock reports.
  • Execution of financial strategy, managing financial controls & accounting procedures, monitoring & preparation of Quarterly, half-yearly & annually financial performance reports (P&L, Overheads, Funds Flow, Cash flow, etc.) & submission to Management periodically.
  • Preparation of New Projects’ loan proposals, Limits renewal proposals, provisions, projections, CMA & Ratio Analysis Reports & Banks’ required statements & reports & submission to Banks periodically.
  • Analysing, identifying and communicating the financial requirements effectively to management in a timely manner & proposing the action plans for future developments.
  • Handling Forward contracts & Derivatives bookings & adjusting with Export realisations.
  • Handling overall insurance coverages and investments.
  • Handling & monitoring IT, TDS, GST & ROC returns filing & GST ITC refunds follow-up.
  • Handling Exports & Imports Documentations (Post & Pre-Shipments), Export Incentives follow-ups, Advance licences & EPCG licences & its closures.
  • Handled merchandising communications with overseas customers, buying houses, brands, retailers & wholesalers from enquiries, costing & pricing, materializing orders, negotiating all terms & packaging, following in production process, shipping & till payments follow-up. 
  • Providing inputs, logics, formulas, requirements & reports formats to & coordinating with Software Team for Software development.
  • Handling & monitoring Wind & Solar Energy Generation & utilization by Captive consumption.

  • Handling Social & Technical compliances & its certifications & Audits like ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), SA 8000:2014, GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS, CE, UKCA, OEKO-TEX, BSCI, BEPI, SEDEX, C-TPAT, IMS, EMS, CMS, STEP-MIG, ICS and Big Brands & Clients’ COC audits
  • Communications with all Certifications & Auditing Companies and liaising with Government officials & maintaining the mutual relationship with them for smooth running of the regular operations.
  • Maintaining & monitoring all statutory & legal certifications’ requirements, validity & its timely renewal.
  • Maintaining & monitoring its Personnel, Compliance & Statutory Records Maintenance regularly.
