Company                               :               ‘VIZIO TV’ Product on payroll from GlobalLogic(GL Hitachi)   

Project                                      :               QA(Manual, Automation) 

Environment                        :                 Smart TV, HDMI – CEC devices (sound-bars, Apple TV, ROKU, Amazon Fire TV), VIZIO Mobile App (Android & iOS), HTML and Native apps, Pytest Automation using Raspberry Pi IR blaster and Camera Module.

Project Description          :                 VIZIO TV recently acquired by Walmart, is one of the leading smart TV manufacturers and continuously working on bettering the Software to the TV for existing as well as upcoming models. VIZIO has its own App in Play store (iOS & Android) for controlling the TV and associated functionality using the Mobiles. Also, VIZIO TVs are certified APPLETV and Google Cast products. Vizio is also leading manufacturer of soundbars in the US region. 

Roles & Responsibilities (Manager - QA): 

• Played pivotal role in VIZIO QA transformation and team building. Entire QA test cases stack was prepared from scratch and created logical hierarchy in testrail for execution which helped in improving our deliverables quality and accountability. With this, entire QA sign-off started from inhouse(which was previously done by ODM’s) by increasing the QA team size from 10 to 60.
• Started building on existing Automation Pytest framework as a pilot project which was just having part of the smoke tests covered. Got 2 junior resources(made them billable) with Python background and gave all the details of the cases that could be automated and provided Acceptance Criteria. Due to cost consideration, our competing company won the project. However, they continued building on top of our delivery only. Also, the automatable test cases were given by me along with acceptance criteria and till date 700 test cases already automated.
• Key contributor to the ‘Media Centre of Excellence (COE)’ in Global Logic.
• Played pivotal role in hiring new talent as well as training existing talent for ‘Discovery Digital’ and ‘AVID’ project.
• Involved in RFPs for multiple projects within the GL.
• With all the above achievements to the GlobalLogic each time(STAR PERFORMER FOR ALL THE 3 YEARS of service in GL) and customer engagement/handling, I was promoted to the ‘Senior Consultant(Band-3 Manager role from Consultant (Senior Lead Band-2))’.

Company                               :               MediaKind Previously Ericsson Media Solutions (Customers: Cogeco, JDS, Telus, Mediaroom China) on payroll from L&T Tech Services

Project                                      :               System Testing (Manual and Automation) and signing off the Build prior to production environment and Customer Release.

Environment                        :                 OTT-STB, Android, iOS and Browsers (Chrome/IE/Firefox/Safari). Automation based on Nightwatch Framework. OSS/BSS API’s testing through postman.

Project Description          :                 System Test team will work on the release branches and will be responsible for the handover of the product with known issues and provide updates to the content writer team for OSS/BSS document. Later I’ll be part of defect leakage analyses, bug triaging and bug scrubbing.  In MediaKind we have 3 distinct team for Testing (Master Test Team, System Test Team and Hotfix Team). Once the Product is Released, I’ll start working on readying up the Nightwatch Framework on new environment and deliver scripts.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Initial year worked on purely manual tests specifically EPICS and understanding the E2E of the product.
• OSS/BSS API testing using Postman. Later helping Documentation Team to Document all the known issues for release.
• E2E understanding à Asset Ingestion to Account generation to configuring the App. Owner of Bug Triaging/Scrub and assigning to different components.
• Handling the prioritization of bugs raised by Customer and defect leakage analyses and bridge between Management and Team.
• Operator portal Admin.
• EAS (Emergency Alert System) alert generation and verification owner.
• System Automation team,  I lead the team and hands on script fixing and maintenance which is based on Nightwatch Framework.
• Created new opportunities among the team and Co-ordinated with sales team to get new solution of hotfix team. Increased the team size with 5 new team members from L&T. 
• I was awarded with Project lead in a year of joining from Senior Software Engineer.

Company                              :                 Cisco Vide Technologies on payroll from Volen Software Services  

3.1 Project                                       :               SKY/ETHAN EUROPE - Middleware log reduction.

• Environment                        :                 C, SPLUNK, Ethan Europe Middleware OS programming
• Project Description          :                 A lot of noisy logs were generated and were eating up huge server space at Sky. Thus, Sky came up with a recommendation for middleware log reduction and provided the access to SPLUNK tool. Hence, a 3-member team was assigned to first undergo SPLUNK training and use it to achieve log reduction. 
• Role & Responsibilities: 
  • Noisy logs in MW using SPLUNK were found. 
  • Reported issues were raised in JIRA and prioritized, were fixed by self (3-member team).
  • An overall MW noisy log reduction of 30% is achieved at the end of the project.

Company                               :                 Cisco Video Technologies on payroll from Vayavya Labs

4.1 Project                              :                 VIASAT STB – STB feature automation through Genie – csv’s and assertions. 

Project Description          :                 Automation of STB features through csv’s so that unit/end to end test cases are performed. 70% of the tests are covered.   

Environment                      :                 STB and Virtual STB.

Role & Responsibilities: 

• Selection of the test cases for Automation.
• Analyse DUIF code written in C-language and help java team to understand and implement API's. 
• Developing API’s required for csv’s.
• Verification the test cases with csv’s.

4.2 Project                              :                 Product and Project version of Tata Sky mobile application manual testing.

Project Description          :                 A product at NDS-CISCO was developed with a concept implementation of TV on mobile or TV in the pockets. Intention was to provide STB features on iOS and ANDROID devices. TATASKY mobile application is based on this product.

Environment                      :                Android and iOS mobile devices.

Role & Responsibilities : Understanding the customer requirement specifications, software requirement specifications, application design documents and identifying the test scenarios based on them.

4.3 Project                              :                 Media sub-system testing and DLNA media certification for TP-Vision ANDROID TV 

Environment                        :                 TPV Marvel TV

Project Description          :                 TP Vision is a visual digital entertainment company, committed to renowned Philips TV brand. TP Vision IPTV was nearing production phase and there was a need for swift stability in the media domain due to lots of bugs getting reported and specialisation in managing DLNA automated certification tool for DLNA certification.

Role & Responsibilities: 

• Testing of USB playback of different video, audio and image formats.
• Testing of DLNA remote playback of different video, audio and image formats through Philips Media Server and Golden DMS.
• Testing of Net TV playback of different video, audio and image formats. 
• Generation of DLNA certification which is accomplished from automated Conformance Test Tool (CTT) and Media Capabilities Verification Tool (MCVT).
• Generation of test summary reports.
• Test report generated locally for DLNA automated tool (CTT & MCVT) matched with DLNA certification team

4.4 Project                              :                 Texas Instruments IP Camera porting solution to other browsers from existing IE8

Environment                        :                 Windows, Apple and Linux browsers(IE10, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Chromium)

Project Description          :                 Texas Instruments had a surveillance camera on IE8 which was built on twitter bootstrap toolkit. This project was outsourced to Vayavyalabs to add browser support to next version of IE and other browsers across the OS’s. Thus, porting of the IPnC to other browsers were successfully completed.  

Role & Responsibilities: 

• HTML/CSS bug fixing and testing.
• Maintenance of the project.

4.5 Project                              :                 Online exam pattern implementation for internal purpose of taking written exam during recruitment process at Vayavya Labs.

Environment/Tools         :                 Ubuntu, C, Threads, Make file, sockets, valgrind, gdb.

Project Description          :                 Vayavya Labs recruitment process had multiple choice written test. Immediately after the completion of Training, got the idea to create web based Online exam application. I utilised this opportunity to test the skills that I gained during my training. I implemented this application on the concepts of C, basic Make file and Socket programming. 

Role & Responsibilities: 

E2E "Online Exam pattern" implementation which included from question/answer paper setting to evaluating and posting the result of the exam.
