Seasoned Human Resources professional with over 27 years of hands-on experience across diverse industries including Dairy (Milk & Bi-Products) manufacturing and trading, Construction Projects, Legal Consulting, Edible Oil Manufacturing and trading, Crude Oil, and Ceramic Sanitary Ware Manufacturing and trading. Proven track record of managing HR functions at both strategic and operational levels.

Of the total experience, the last 20 years have been in a Corporate-cum-Plant HR role, overseeing comprehensive HR strategies and business alignment. The initial 7 years were dedicated to Plant-level HR and Administration, where I managed day-to-day HR operations, statutory compliance, and workforce engagement. Adept at aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals, enhancing employee relations, and fostering a performance-driven culture.

Experience

September 2008 to November 2025

Joined as Head HR with Duravit India Pvt Ltd, Ahmedabad. Duravit is now a 208-year-old German multinational having operations in over 130 countries across the world today.  Duravit produces and markets designer’s bathroom series consisting of sanitary ware, bathtubs and whirl tubs, bathroom furniture and bathroom accessories. 

The bathroom series of Duravit designed by internationally renowned designers have won numerous design awards and acknowledgement from the world over. Design series from the likes of Philippe Starck, Norman Foster and Sieger Design command a strong presence in some of the most premium hotels, residences and commercial projects all over the world, including India. 

Duravit India imports and stocks most of the designer series from Germany and keeps ready stock in India for quick deliveries. We are having production facility in India. For the same we choose the land near Village: Indranaj, Taluka: Tarapur, Dist: Anand. 

Head – Human Resources (Since September 2008)

Responsible for leading the full spectrum of Human Resources functions across the organization, including:

  • End-to-end white-collar recruitment, including all key leadership positions.
  • Formulation and periodic review of HR policies, including sales and production incentive schemes.
  • Legal compliance management for Factory Act and Shops & Establishment Act across all company locations
  • Development and maintenance of HR MIS reports for strategic decision-making
  • Driving employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and productive work culture
  • Managing internal and external training programs for employee development
  • Actively involved in ISO 9001 implementation and currently spearheading the adoption of ISO 50001
  • Strategic HR partner in business growth and organizational development initiatives.
  • I lead and oversee all strategic and operational HR functions, supported by two subordinates at the plant and a contractual HR supervisor. My responsibilities span across talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, HRIS, and alignment with global HR policies and systems. My role has been instrumental in setting up and stabilizing the HR function from scratch, ensuring smooth HR operations aligned with business goals, both at the plant and across the national sales network. 
  •  Successfully implemented the 2022 expansion plan for our manufacturing unit and sales force, ensuring smooth transitions and timely deployment of manpower.
  • Managed quarterly HR analytics focused on manpower planning, manhours, production capacity, compensation (salary and incentives), productivity, and yield—providing actionable insights to support strategic workforce and operational decisions.
  • Implemented a Digitized Mobile Application for Field Staff Travel and Sales Expense Management 
  • Currently reporting functionally to the Managing Director – India and administratively to the Global Head of HR (Chief People Officer) based in Germany. I manage independently managing the entire HR operations for the organization, which has grown from a greenfield project to a fully operational manufacturing plant and a pan-India sales and service team, forming approximately four hundred employees.

November 2003 to August 2008

Joined Adani Wilmar Limited (AWL) a joint venture incorporated in January 1999 between Adani Group- the leaders in private infrastructure and Wilmar International Limited - Singapore, Asia's leading Agri business group which is having 28000 Cr Turn over. It is one of the fastest growing foods FMCG companies in India with a turnover $ 4~ Billion. Today, AWL owns more than forty units that cumulatively translate to a refining capacity of over 16800 tonnes per day, seed crushing capacity of six thousand tonnes per day and packaging capacity of 12900 tonnes per day. 

Recruited as “Officer (HR & Admin) “by M/s. Adani Wilmar Ltd. and placed at its Refinery at Mundra (Kutch) division for one hand half years employing more than 210 employees 1200 contract labour till 31/05/2005 reporting to Sr. Manager/Head (HR & Admin). 

(Exposer at Plant Level-Mundra) Key Responsibilities & Achievements:

  • Led the Recruitment & Selection process for Supervisory, Officer, and Staff-level positions during Plant Expansion Phase-II.
  • Managed Contract Labour Administration for both the main plant and Expansion Phase-II, ensuring compliance and smooth workforce integration.
  • Oversaw Performance Appraisals, Manpower Planning, and Resource Allocation across the existing plant and Expansion Phase-II.
  • Aided in the formulation and implementation of HR policies in collaboration with the Head of HR and Factory Manager.
  • Managed Industrial Relations (IR) matters including resolution of employee grievances at the plant level, supporting a harmonious work environment.
  • Administered various Employee Welfare Initiatives, including canteen operations, sports & recreation programs, and group Mediclaim policies.
  • Managed Factory Administration, including security services, housekeeping, guesthouse and transport management, and employee housing accommodation.

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
    Promoted from Sr. Executive to Asst. Manager, leading end-to-end recruitment for Sales, Marketing, and Trading teams across eighty-six branches pan-India for the FMCG division. Recruited technical personnel at the plant level.
  • Sourcing & Advertising:
    Managed recruitment advertising strategies via online job portals and the company’s website to attract top talent across domains.
  • Workforce Planning & Performance Management:
    Oversaw workforce planning and implemented performance appraisal systems at both corporate and plant levels, aligning HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Policy Formulation:
    Contributed to the development of the company’s TA-DA policy in 2006, actively involved in drafting and implementing HR policies in coordination with Head – HR and Group Head – HR.
  • Industrial Relations (IR):
    Handled IR issues across four manufacturing units located in Mundra (Gujarat), Mantralayam (Andhra Pradesh), Bundi (Rajasthan), and Haldia (West Bengal). Responsible for generating MIS reports related to contract labor, factory liaison, and workers compensation.
  • SAP HR Implementation:
    Core team member for SAP HR module implementation (OM, PA, Time, Payroll, and Recruitment modules) across thirteen companies of the Adani Group (Jul 2007 – Jan 2008).
  • Promoted and Transfer to group of company from Feb’08 heading as Manager (HR) associated with our new upcoming company called “Adani welspun Exploration Ltd (E&P)” where I was responsible to look after Entire recruitment, Performance appraisal, Compensation, payroll Generating, Various MIS related to Recruitment, Attrition rate, Leave Balance as well as Administration etc. Making policy in terms of remote allowance, Site allowance etc. reporting functionally to CEO and Administratively to Group President HR

July 2000 to October 2003

Associated with M/s. Reliance Engineering Associate Pvt Ltd, Ahmedabad (EPC Group) deputed for Reliance Infocom Project, which deployed more than 3500 contract workers deployed through various contractors across the state of Gujarat for implementation of the project. Joined in the capacity of Executive–Human Resources on Contractual basis reporting to State–HR Coordinator and State Programme Manager. 

Ours is a company mainly engaged with different type of construction project for Reliance Group in all over India.

  • Arranged and coordinated interviews for recruitment of Market Research Executives and Operation & Maintenance group for Reliance Infocom Gujarat OFC Project.
  • Conducted Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) recruitment drives for the Reliance Group in Ahmedabad.
  • Managing HR-related legal matters across all locations in Gujarat. 
  • Liaising with the Regional Labour Commissioner (Central) office to ensure smooth project implementation without any statutory issues.

  • Joined M/s. S. Kumar Consultation Services, Ahmedabad as Officer reporting to Director. The Company provides Legal Consultation in Ahmedabad & it’s Surrounding.
  •  Ours is a company which provides legal consultation as well as generating payroll on behalf of main client. (Such as M/s. Waghbakri Tea, M/s. Icenet, M/s. Kanoria Dyechem, M/s. Quality Construction etc.)
