Dynamics of the RoleThis role is for a Cloud Java Advisor that will operate as a core member of the Transunion Consumer Relationships System and Contact Center team and will be responsible for enabling new features and optimizing strategic solutions within TransUnion's CRS platform.

As a member of our CRS technical leadership group, you will have both the accountability and freedom to build systems that are taking TransUnion to the next level.

Success in this role requires a solid background in software development and architecture, CI/CD, strong experience with Cloud technologies, and/or working with multiple integrations type of applications.

The Team's Focus –The Consumer Relations System ("CRS") is a suite of applications & technical capabilities to enable consumers' access to data, meet our regulatory obligations and generate revenueOur technology stack includes AWS, Java applications, APIs & Services, Batch systems and capabilities built on Salesforce and MuleSoft.

How You Will Contribute

• Work with enterprise and domain architects to define the cloud strategy on AWS, while developing and designing proof-of-concepts and providing direction in the ultimate delivery of the services
• Work directly with Agile development teams to provide the technical guidance
• Work as a technical leader alongside customer business, development and infrastructure teams
• Leverage new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices)
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to engineering & operation teams to harden the platform.
• Lead architects to design highly available and scalable systems on cloud platforms.
• Develop automation and processes to quickly and rapidly deploy, manage, configure and scale cloud-based systems and stacks.
• Manage vendors, contractors and contracts

What You'll Bring:
What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field
• Demonstrated experience managing Agile Development teams within AWS and Java ecosystem for 3+ years.
• Strong organizational and communication skills that create effective cross team collaboration between business and technical focused teams and personnel.
• Comfortable interacting with senior management and business partners across different domains.
• Demonstrated experience operating within a matrixed organization with a strong focus on enabling business capabilities through partnership and collaboration.
• 8 + years of large scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more modern programing languages such as: AWS, Java, JavaScript, Angular
• 5+ years of experience in developing APIs and microservices
• 5+ years of experience providing technical solution architecture.
• 5+ years of direct hands-on with external cloud platforms specifically with Amazon Web Services (AWS.)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Experience with building large scale application deployments, standard three tier web applications, APIs and Batches.
• Good exposure to Agile software development and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD
• Ability to manage vendors and contractors
• AWS Solutions Architect certification
• Knowledge of Salesforce is desired but not required
