    Description

    Responsiblefor academic planning of the programmes and implementation ofacademic policies following the guidelines from the University inrespect of academic development maintenance of quality of educationincluding standards of teaching and research and training ofteachers. He/She shall work directly under the superintendencedirection and control of theManagement.

    (b)Responsible for development and application of quality benchmarksor parameters for various academic and administrative activities ofgraduates and PG Programmes. Facilitate the creation of alearnercentric environment conducive for qualityeducation.

    (c)Ensure appropriate actions as are needed for maintenance of qualityof teaching to reach Quality Assurance. Assure that the teachersappraisal by students is carried out and the reports thereof aresent to the university authoritiesconcerned.

    (d)Arrange for feedback responses from the students the teachersnonteaching staff the parents and the other associated externalpartners/bodies on qualityrelated institutionalprocesses.

    (e)Organize interinstitutional and intrainstitutional workshopsseminars on quality related themes and promotion of qualitycircles.

    (f)Coordinate qualityrelated activities including adoption anddissemination of good practices development and maintenance ofinstitutional databases through management information systems orthe latest digital technology for the purposes of maintaining orenhancing institutionalquality.

    (g)Responsible for dissemination of information on the various qualityparameters of higher education as may be defined by variousnational level bodies dealing with assessment and accreditation ofquality in educationalinstitutions.

    (h)Be responsible for development of quality culture in highereducation.

    (i)Be responsible for annual development of quality parameters andranking of integral units of higher education based on the AnnualQuality AssuranceReport.

    (j)Responsible for ensuring standards of undergraduate andpostgraduate teaching and research in thefaculty.

    (k)Responsible for ensuring academic development of the faculty underhis purview and proper implementation of the decisions of the Boardof Studies Faculty Academic Council Management Council and theBoard of Examinations and Evaluation in respect of hisfaculty.

    (l)Render necessary assistance for redressal of grievances of thestudents in thefaculty.

    (t)Coordinate and prepare reports as required by the variousauthorities or bodies of the university the State Government theCentral Government the Central Educational Commissions or CouncilsCommission and any such otherbody.

    (m)Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties asprescribed or assigned to him/her by the Management from time totime.

    (n)Actas mentors and counselors to students and conduct parent interviewsin addition to daily administrativetasks.

    (o)Assist with defining and enforcing policies and guidelines forstudents staff and faculty at thecampus.

    (p)Identifying objectives for instruction and extracurricularprograms.



    Requirements


    • Shouldbe an excellent mentor and coach; target and achievement orientedwith an ability to take up challenges and perform in changing workenvironments.
    • Experiencein NAAC implementation in rankinginstitutions.
    • Preferablyworked as a VicePrincipal/Dean in reputed institutions for at least35years.
    • Shouldbe able to motivate staff to maximum productivity through the mosteffective uses of manpower and availableresources.
    • Soundanalytical skills along with ability to make recommendations basedon information gathered and soundjudgment.
    • Effectivepeople skills Effective time management skills Effectivepresentation skills as well as networking skillsrequired.
    • Workingin a high growth and dynamic businessenvironment.
    • Acandidate for this career should display leadership qualitiesdetermination confidence and strong decisionmakingabilities.
    • Must possess excellent communication organizational andinterpersonalskills.
