Position Name: Cognos Developer

Location: Chennai, India

Experience: 5+ years

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days joiners

Position Description:

1. Converting existing Cognos Powercubes to Planning Analytics cubes.

2. Provide input to best practices for designing and implementing Planning Analytics cubes.

3. Planning Analytics configuration, optimization and tuning.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.

5. Work with large datasets, managing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various sources.

6. Take ownership of issues through to delivery or issue resolution or escalation, as appropriate

7. Contribute to technical resolution of incidents and continuously improve operations resilience.

Skills Required:

Strong technical experience in Cognos Analytics and Planning Analytics (TM/1) 5+ years.

Strong understanding of SQL (Oracle preferred) and database management.

Data analysis and data validation skills.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Working independently, taking initiative

Experience working with VDI desktops and requesting needed access to servers and databases

Skills Preferred:

Experience with Google BigQuery.

Experience with QlikSense.

Experience with Python and Unix shell scripting.

Experience with VBA scripting/excel macros.

Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence

Automotive industry knowledge would be an added advantage.

Experience Required:

5+ years of experience in Cognos Analytics.
