    Description

    Plastic pollution is catastrophic.

    • 7bn tonnes of plastic has been made so far. Less than 10% of it is ever recycled.
    • It's estimated that by 2050 there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish.
    • Microplastics have now been found in human blood.

Cirkla is on a mission to solve this. Cirkla is a sustainability solutions company that helps brands replace plastics with viable alternatives. We are working with some of the leading Fortune 500 brands and SMBs to build sustainable packaging solutions, source directly from manufacturers in Asia, and get products delivered globally.

Cirkla's founding team has deep domain knowledge & experience in building global businesses. Vaibhav (IITB, Kellogg School of Management), Ankur (IIT Kgp, ISB) and Kapil (Indian Institute of Packaging, NMIMS) have worked across startups, strategy consulting, reputed CPG firms such as Unilever, P&G, and J&J, and have built multiple businesses from the ground-up.

Cirkla is HQ'd in the US and has a strong team based in Mumbai, India. We are backed by marquee VCs such as Matrix Partners and Stellaris Venture Partners.

This role is for a Founder's Office, a hands-on generalist who will be working very closely with the founders as we scale up Cirkla.

    What You'll Do

    • The Founders Associate will be working closely with the founders to help them grow, scale and run the business effectively. In this role, you will help grow and manage the business through three primary functions: Project and Program Management, Channel Partnerships, and Business Insights and Analytics. You'll be driving multiple projects and initiatives across sales, marketing, operations, and other teams.
    • Additionally; there are many responsibilities and projects that won't fit neatly into part of the organisation. So, in practice, you will also help us do a bunch of different things from: identifying new product categories, creating sustainable packaging partnerships globally, interviewing candidates, evaluating companies for acquisitions, building presentations/materials, bringing new hires up to speed, and keeping the cross functions glued together as we scale the business.

    Who you are

    • Ex-Founders and entrepreneurs are preferred; or 4 to 7 years of experience as Founder's Office or generalist roles in high-growth startups
    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering is a must
    • Hands-on generalist, self-starter, and hustler with the ability to roll sleeves up to drive execution
    • Proven record of driving growth agenda across multiple teams
    • Strong problem-solving & communication skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity

    • Wealth creation: Competitive CTC, early-stage ESOPs
    • Culture: People who are super-driven, grounded, and nice to work with
