Specificduties and responsibilities of the Whole School technologyIntegration specialist will include
Create awhole school academic technology policy by discussions with therespective curriculum heads for approval andimplementation.
Collaborates with teachers in composingeffective technologyinfused contentbased lessons and supports theteachers as they implement the lessons in theirclassrooms.
Promotes model instructional practices andthe role of technology in them.
Articulates appropriateinstructional technology practices as described in technologystandards for students and teachers.
Provides assistanceand training to building instructional staff in the integration oftechnology to support student achievement. This includes planningand implementing job embedded professional development andworkshops for individuals small groups and large groups.
Collaborates in the evaluation selection and implementation ofinstructional technology materials and software.
Workswith curriculum coordinator to develop and implement technologyenhanced curriculum integration projects.
Providesleadership in developing and implementing technologyplans.

Collaborates with Curriculum Heads Learning centrestaff and other staff to ensure infrastructure and tools areavailable to carry out school and technologyinitiatives.

Conducts research about advancements intechnology tools and resources to informdecisionmaking.
Gathers and disseminates information(e.g. grants policies professional development opportunities)relevant to instructional technology.
Coordinatestechnology related grant projects community outreach projects andfund raisers.
Participates in ongoing professionaldevelopment related to job responsibilities and maintainingexpertise in the field.
Conductsstaff development and supports community awarenessinitiatives
