Technical Specialist – Storage

Eligible Criteria - B.E./B.Tech, , MCSE/ RHCE/MCP

Skills: Netapps Storage, Backup and storage

Experience-5-9yrs

Notice period: 0-30 Days

Location: Raipur-Chhattisgarh

Job Description:

· Complete Management of Storage, Backup,

· Should implement the back-up plan for storing and retrieving of data.

· Responsible in resolving the real time (RT) requests raised by users as per SLA.

· Should report security events or potential events or other security risks to the Client.

· Should have exposure of SAN System (Storage Management Software, Performance tuning, Volume configuration), backup system along with the capability of SAN/NAS System Monitoring, Fabric Monitoring, Report generation, First call handling, Escalation and Backup and Recovery practices in the Data Center Environment and should have intermediate skills and should have exposure to the DR / BCP practices.

· Ensure timely availability of storage space to User Departments.

· Handle Incidents, problems, changes related to storage, backup equipment's, as per Client policy, procedure.

· Responsible for Configuration management and capacity management of storage, backup equipment's.

· Responsible for preparing and maintaining of SOP, KEDB, different reports for storage, backup equipment.

· Periodically review necessary policy, procedure for storage, backup, restoration, media library, media disposal for maintaining and improving their relevance.

· Planning, implementing, monitoring and maintain storage, backup and their protection. Implementing and maintaining media library as per Client procedures.

· Implementing and maintaining secure disposal of media and equipment as per Client procedures.

· Responsible for back up data according to scheme/ backup schedule.

· Implementing and maintaining data restoration as per Client procedures/ restoration schedule.

· Configure zoning on SAN switch. Creation of LUN on storage and allocate to users.

· Performing Online Backup and Restoration at regular interval.

· Restore data through Net vault backup tool.

· Performing Daily, Weekly and Monthly backups and Restoration in Tape Drive using Net Vault.

· Coordinating with System Team, Network Team, NOC team and Different Client

· Media insert and labelling on IBM TS3200 tape library.

· Troubleshooting the issues with Netapp Storage.
