Role Summary
The General Manager – Projects will be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of real estate construction projects. The role demands strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and hands-on experience in Mivan (aluminium) shuttering systems, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and as per quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead and manage multiple residential/commercial real estate projects from inception to handover.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, cash flows, and resource plans.
- Ensure adherence to approved designs, specifications, and construction methodologies, including Mivan shuttering systems.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders for smooth execution.
Construction & Technical Management
- Provide technical leadership for Mivan shuttering, RCC works, finishing, and services coordination.
- Review construction drawings, BOQs, method statements, and execution plans.
- Resolve complex technical issues and ensure implementation of best construction practices.
- Drive value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety norms, statutory regulations, and local authorities.
- Implement robust QA/QC systems and site audit mechanisms.
- Enforce EHS policies and promote a strong safety culture across all sites.
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Finalize and manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor contractor performance, billing, and certifications.
- Ensure timely availability of materials, machinery, and manpower.
Team Leadership & Reporting
- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, engineers, and site teams.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and performance evaluations.
- Prepare and present MIS reports, progress updates, and risk assessments to senior management.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Mivan (Aluminium) Shuttering systems and high-rise construction.
- Expertise in project management, RCC construction, planning, and cost control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in project planning tools (Primavera / MS Project).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
- Diploma in Civil Engineering.
