Mandarin Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Document Translator

Location: Hosur, Work from office

We are looking for a skilled Mandarin language expert with experience in mechanical design engineeringfor one of our renowned client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating technical content from English to Mandarin and vice versa, with a focus on mechanical engineering terminology and concepts. This role will require strong language skills, technical expertise, and attention to detail to ensure accurate and effective translation of technical documents, manuals, and other materials.

Responsibilities:

• Translate technical content, including documents, manuals, specifications, and other materials, from English to Mandarin and vice versa.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in translation, maintaining technical terminology and concepts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and technical writers, to understand and clarify technical content.
• Review and edit translated materials to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to company standards.
• Conduct research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology and trends to enhance translation quality.
• Provide linguistic and cultural insights to support localization efforts for products and services targeted at Mandarin-speaking markets.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address questions, provide explanations, and ensure understanding of translated content.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in technical translation, particularly in the field of Mechanical/Electrical engineering.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, engineering terminology, and technical documentation.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and consistency in translation.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Previous experience in localization or internationalization is a plus.
• Certification in Mandarin Chinese.
• Preferred Btech/Mtech/diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

We prefer candidates who are willing to travel to our client's office in Hosur for the interview and technical assessment.
