    JOB Description

    • Design & CAD Modelling of Restraint parts (Seat belts, Airbags and Steering wheel) and Assemblies as per engineering guidelines and checklists.
    • Evaluate data received from supplier as per engineering deliverables and decide next action plan to meet milestones.
    • Creation and Management of product data structure in PLM and ensure BOM Quality.
    • To support development of Design Standards & Carryover Strategy in line with defined Technical Policy and Technology Roadmap and engineering for the projects in line with the standards.
    • Create Technical Proposals for New Concepts & resolution of Technical Issues or Design to meet attributes.
    • Support project deliverables as per Gen3 milestones and deliverables.

    Job Specifications

    Software: - Catia V5R25 With good modelling skills and expert in best modelling practices

    Knowledge: General Construction, Materials & Technologies required, Regulations, Test Standards & Requirements that have to be met, Interface with other aggregates.

    Six Sigma Tools (DFMEA, DFM, DFA & DFS), GD&T, EPS and the NPI Process. Cost drivers. Working knowledge of PLM Systems, MINT3, RMDVV and other internal systems

    Engineering: - Completion of at least one Seat Belt, Steering wheel and Airbag design/development project experience from styling to launch of the product is mandatory.

    Restraint component design considering Regulatory and product requirements, Plastic manufacturing process (injection molding, 2K molding, ), Secondary process (Painting, chrome plating, ), Soft touch process (IMG, Thermoforming, Slush molding, etc.), Material selection (considering requirements, quality and cost), DV/PV validation.
