    What this job involves:

    We are seeking a highly experienced Design Manager to work closely with the Research business/service lines. In this role, you will lead and manage the design team to create engaging and effective research materials, including reports based on Adobe applications like InDesign, PPT, and other collateral. As a Design Manager, you will be expected to provide art direction support, people management, process improvement, and stakeholder management to ensure that all design projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

    The candidate should have a basic understanding of SEO for research design. Prior experience working with data visualization tools (e.g., Flourish) would be an advantage.

    Prior experience of working with data/working with a research function would be an advantage.

    The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Research report design processes and be able to work collaboratively with Research teams to understand their needs and develop solutions that support their goals.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing feedback and guidance to help them grow in their roles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a strong design vision and creative direction.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all design initiatives.
  • Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in design technology.
  • Manage projects and ensure designers manage projects to agreed scopes and timescales, including integrated design project components, all require coordination and cohesion.
  • Experience as an Art Director. Develop creative briefs based on ideas from brainstorming sessions, with direction, schedules, and deliverables for the creative team. Obtain team approval of final layouts, storyboards, and illustrations; encourage members to provide feedback; and respond to internal commentary and requests.
  • Prior experience of working with data/working with a research function would be an advantage.
  • Oversee presentation of final concepts and coordinate production and dissemination for cross-organizational use.
  • Oversee project design and production, promptly reporting potential disputes.
  • Ability to work on various Real Estate-related deliverables like 2D Maps, Site plans, Floor plans, and Building Illustrations.
  • Promptly change requirements or delays and review project performance.
  • Create and maintain high-quality visual content for the company brand in digital and print communications, including research material.
  • You have a team-oriented attitude and the ability to contribute to design- and functionality-related research report decisions.
  • Strong work ethic: Takes initiative and can self-manage. Resourceful when approaching projects, can navigate through obstacles to bring projects to fruition, and can effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • A high level of proficiency using Adobe Suite including InDesign Interactive, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SEO for research design, Eloqua/Poppulo/similar tools, and Flourish charts creation.
  • Ideal candidate will be adaptable to new tools as per business requirement
  • Communication skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts and ideas to others through written, drawn and verbal means.
  • Prior experience of working with global and international clients is preferred.
  • Time management

  • Detail-oriented, organized with problem solving approach and should be able to manage multiple projects and simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
  • Team management

  • Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing feedback and guidance to help them grow in their roles.
  • Prior experience in people management in a corporate setup is preferred.
