    Job Overview:

    As a Principal Data Scientist at Sigmoid Analytics, you will be responsible for leading our data science team, driving the development of cutting-edge algorithms, and providing strategic guidance on leveraging data-driven insights to solve complex business challenges. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for applying machine learning and statistical modelling techniques to drive business growth and enhance decision-making processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing guidance on project priorities, methodologies, and best practices.

    Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for applying data science techniques to address business challenges and drive innovation.

    Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models and statistical algorithms to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.

    Drive the research and development of new data science methodologies, tools, and frameworks to stay ahead of industry trends and maintain a competitive edge.

    Work closely with engineering teams to integrate data science solutions into production systems and ensure scalability and reliability.

    Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, reports, and data visualizations.

    Stay abreast of advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives within the organization.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

    10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading successful projects and teams.

    Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.

    Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling techniques, and optimization methods.

    Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka, and proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.

    Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive projects from conception to completion.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience working in industries such as e-commerce, finance, healthcare, or telecommunications.

    Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

    Contributions to open-source projects, publications in peer-reviewed journals, or participation in data science competitions.

    Certifications in data science, machine learning, or related fields (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty, Google Professional Data Engineer).
