    We are looking for a firmware developer at ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited (GISPL). This is a company which has 4 business areas to support ABB R&D projects globally. We are located in Bangalore, India and we have 2000 employees as a part of this company serving in the areas of Research, Development, Engineering center and Regional ERP support center which contributes to ABB's 4 business areas globally. In 2015 the company name was registered as ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited (GISPL). This position is opened in the Motion System Drives (MOSD) Division at the global grade 13, which is a global technology leader in variable frequency drives. We keep the world turning, while saving energy every day. Our drives help our customers to achieve energy efficiency, sustainability and achieve profitable growth.

    You would be reporting to the Division R&D Team Lead located in Bangalore. You will be working with the teams which are developing and validating shippable products for the India and global markets. You will also be a part of global R&D community spread across the ABB MOSD division.

    Your responsibilities

    • Developing Firmware of variable frequency drives at various layers of its architecture
    • Collaborating with global/ local R&D and product management teams to develop world class products
    • Demonstrate solid competency in embedded C++/C programming and design concepts
    • Collaborating within R&D community and aligning with agile software development principles
    • Demonstrating strong commitment to quality culture in ABB R&D
    • Living ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business

    Your background

    • Bachelor's / master's degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or related field with 3 to 5 years of experience in embedded SW programming on C++
    • Must have strong experience in Embedded C++, in embedded system design and development
    • Hands on experience with debugging tools such as IAR or equivalent
    • Experience in Unit testing for the developed modules / components
    • Experience in working in Agile teams and strong understanding of agile ways of working
    • Experience about CI/CD processes, Jenkins or equivalent tool
    • Experience of working on Drives / VFD / Inverters
