Description

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience working as a Teradata Database Administrator or similar role in a production environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Teradata architecture, utilities, and tools.
• Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning techniques.
• Strong understanding of data security principles and best practices.
• Experience with database backup and recovery solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Teradata certification(s) preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade Teradata database software and related tools.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and capacity planning.
• Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Troubleshoot database issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
• Collaborate with application developers to design efficient database schemas and optimize SQL queries.
• Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as patching, upgrades, and system health checks
