    Roles and Responsibilities

    The VP of Finance is responsible for the controllership of the business unit. The incumbent will help look at every operational metric and able to translate to a financial objective. This role includes various facets of reporting, forecasting & budgeting for the business unit.

    • Lead and evolve all facets of financial forecasting including annual budgeting, rolling reforecasting, and long range planning
    • Impact all decisions relating to financial operation including Capex decisions for the business unit.
    • Drive automation to deliver, generate new reports relevant to current business dynamics
    • Partner with Data and Insights teams to provide key insights into performance and financial trends linking leading indicators in current business drivers to future strategy .
    • Drive growth and improvements in margin and profitability through effective business planning partnering with the leadership team to achieve overall alignment on goals
    • Developing a clear understanding of key business drivers for each line of business, analyzing key financial metrics, and providing decision-making support to Business & Finance teams.
    • Build daily and weekly parameters of business and costs matrix, analyze and bring out key action points to bring efficiency
    • Supporting Finance & Business Management in the simulation of revenue and cost projections and corresponding business cost including working out margin protection/improvement plans.
    • Partnering with Finance & Business teams to execute improvement points to bring efficiency and control over process and cost parameters. Track and highlight appropriate performance measures, key performance indicators, and associated drivers.
    • Providing framework for financial & compliance controls across business units.
    • Preparing operational P&L, MIS, and analyzing the same for Business reviews/ presentations.
    • Handling complex ad-hoc requests including transaction support requests with a short turnaround time and supplementing such requests with appropriate analysis and comments.
    • Tracking of Inter department performances against set targets and providing periodic updates to business.

    Strategic:

    • As a Finance partner to the senior leadership, assess Business units performance against both annual budget and FSLs long-term strategy.
    • Provide critical financial and operational information to the Leadership and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
    • Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with strategic plan, especially as the organization considers large-scale improvements or advancements.

    Operational:

    • Dedicated Finance partner for the Business Unit ( program)
    • Partner with Corporate FP&A & matrix finance leaders to provide insights and analyze segment performance
    • Lead and develop a diverse finance team, maintain the motivation levels and also build a bench of future finance leaders
    • Lead ad-hoc projects as needed e.g. market research, acquisition due diligence, investment and/or capital allocation decisions etc.
    • Manage the financial performance of the business unit covering all departments in the BU including sales, operations.
