Data Protection Architect (Veeam) – IT

What a typical day looks like:
Support design, development, installation, implementation, and administration of backup solutions based on but not limited to Veeam productsThis role combines creativity, strategic thinking, and practical analysis to drive impactful solutions aligned to organization goalsProficient in ransomware recovery protocols, ensuring data integrity and system resilienceSupport full range of backup operations for corporate wide applications and databases in a heterogenous environmentResponsible for configuring and monitoring of backup and restoration for Linux/Unix, Windows, VMware, MSSQL, Oracle & other databasesAnalyze existing systems and recommend diverse, fault-tolerant solutions to ensure disaster recovery and continuity of operations planReview of backup and restoration incidents and taking corrective / preventive actions to reduce failure rateImplement automation in backup operations, automate restore testsResponsible for capacity planning and estimating the requirements to implement resilient and scalable backup infrastructurePerform periodic review and optimization of backup operations to improve backup performance & increase backup efficiency; implement self-healing solutionsManage Incident, Problem and Change management according to defined processCompile statistics on Availability, Utilization and Performance for management reportingPrepare and update systems and operation policies and documentationDefine, update Disaster Recovery procedure and carry out DR test regularlyThe experience we're looking to add to our team:

Any Bachelor or Master degree with minimum 9+ years of proven Infrastructure support.

Min 5+ years of Backup support experienceIn depth knowledge of Veeam 11 & 12In depth knowledge of configuring and managing Linux/Unix, Windows, VMware, MSSQL and Oracle DB backups and restorationsIn depth knowledge of Storage Lifecycle Policies for replication and duplicationExperience in with design of traditional, hybrid and cloud-based data protection and business continuity solutionsExperience with DevOps, IaC, writing code and automate repeatable processesExperience with Windows, Linux/Unix and VMware environmentExperience with integrating Backup with Cloud technologyAbility to work independently to solve problems and communicate resolution to othersWilling to provide weekend on-call supportHere are our preferred experiences :

Certifications in Veeam and/or other backup vendorsProfessional Level Certifications from Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)SNIA Certified Storage Architect (SCSA) or equivalent vendor certificationITIL CertificationsWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:
