    Job Title: Technical Developer - Language Proficiency Assessment Platform

    Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled Technical Developer to join our team in building a cutting-edge language proficiency assessment platform VerbIQ . This platform will revolutionize how language skills are evaluated and tested, catering to diverse users globally. As a Technical Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the core infrastructure and features of this platform.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Platform Architecture and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and design the platform's technical infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
    2. Frontend Development: Develop intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for test takers, administrators, and evaluators using modern frontend technologies such as , Angular, or
    3. Backend Development: Implement robust backend systems to manage user data, assessments, scoring algorithms, and reporting functionalities. Proficiency in backend technologies like , Python, or Java is essential.
    4. Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes to efficiently store and retrieve large volumes of data. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL) is preferred.
    5. API Development: Create RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between frontend and backend components, ensuring seamless integration and data flow.
    6. Scalability and Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations to enhance platform scalability, responsiveness, and resource utilization.
    7. Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive user data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR or HIPAA.
    8. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop automated tests and perform thorough QA to ensure the platform's reliability, functionality, and usability across different devices and browsers.
    9. Documentation and Collaboration: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API specifications, and deployment instructions. Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to align technical implementation with business requirements.
    10. Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in language assessment and software development. Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and optimization within the platform.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience (X years) in full-stack development, with a focus on building scalable web applications or platforms.
    • Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks , Angular, ).
    • Strong backend development skills with expertise in , Python, Java, or similar languages.
    • Experience designing and optimizing relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
    • Familiarity with RESTful API design principles and experience building APIs using frameworks like , Flask, or Spring Boot.
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in developing language assessment or e-learning platforms.
    • Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and tools.
    • Understanding of internationalization (i18n) and localization (L10n) principles.
    • Certification in relevant technologies or frameworks (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate).
