To help us continue growing, we're seeking an experienced director of operations to join a highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will have senior management experience in a dynamic setting. The role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries. The director of operations will work closely with executives to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success for the company.

    Designation: Director Operations

    Objectives of this role

    • Collaborate with engineering managers in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
    • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration
    • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity
    • Work with engineering & support managers in the development of financial and budgetary plans
    • Analyse current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing operational strategies to achieve company goals. This may involve budgeting, forecasting, and setting performance targets.
    • Team Management: Overseeing and managing (hiring and firing) teams across different departments, ensuring the efficient coordination of activities and effective communication. Knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, HR Ops, customer service, and employee management
    • Process Improvement: Identifying areas of improvement in operational processes, developing plans to streamline operations, and working with teams to implement changes.
    • Performance Monitoring: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of operations and make necessary adjustments. This may involve data analysis, reporting, and making strategic decisions based on findings.
    • Project Management: Leading and overseeing various projects to ensure they are executed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
    • Decision Making: Making decisions on operational matters and resolving complex issues that may arise in day-to-day operations.
    • Relationship Management: Managing relationships with external partners, vendors, and suppliers to ensure effective collaboration and adherence to service-level agreements.
    • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures. Identifying operational risks and implementing measures to mitigate them.
    • Communication: Facilitating effective communication between teams and departments to align goals, disseminate information, and resolve conflicts.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with various stakeholders, such as senior management, board members, and customers, to provide updates, address concerns, and maintain positive relationships.
    • Implement and adhere to the company's policies and standards, and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

    Required skills and qualifications

    • Overall 15+ years of experience and 5+ years in a senior leadership role in a field related to IT service industry
    • 5+ years of experience in business operations, strategic planning, and project management preferred
    • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
    • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management
    • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
    • Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
    • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines - US and India
    • B.E./B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant professional experience
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality written documentation.
