Description

Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of specification, fabrication, and erection techniques of piping, structural and equipment in greenfield and brownfield projects.

Manage a team of technicians and resources, coordinating with project managers and engineers to ensure that all mechanical work is completed on schedule and within budget, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.

Plan and coordinate with subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams to accomplish the mechanical works scope without any clashes. So, he requires excellent problem-solving and communication skills to manage tasks concurrently and sequentially.

He/she must show the ability to adopt to changing project requirements and deadlines and align the teams to prioritize the tasks and to optimize or share the resources to improve productivity.

Specific responsibilities of the mechanical area incharge must include:oOversee the installation and construction, identify and allocate the Workfront to engineers inline with the material availability, and reduce repair and rework at construction site of piping, valves, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical components.oIdentify and address any issues or problems and delays that may arise during the construction process.oEnsure that all mechanical works are completed in a timely and efficient manner, and that any delays are promptly communicated to project managers and engineers.oMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of all mechanical work, including work orders, invoices, and inventory records.oCoordinating with project manager and engineers to ensure that all mechanical work is completed on schedule and within budget.oMust be a keen observer and heuristic in nature to build processes and systems.

Generic responsibilities of the mechanical area incharge must include:oDevelopment of Work Breakdown Schedule in line with master Schedule & Front release plan in consultation with E&P.oEstimation of Resources & reduction of rework; productivity improvement.oManage the construction activities and execute the construction works in line with the approved contract schedule and specifications.oDevelop and implement the requirements of the Construction Execution Plan.oEnsure adherence to the project/corporate HSE procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.oResponsible for generating regular progress reports for review by Management.oMonitoring subcontractor and vendor performance and contributes to project evaluation of these in project close-out reports.oEnsure that the construction areas are constructed to international quality standards and agreed budget, schedule, and construction sequence.oKnowledge on Implementation of construction work pack (CWP), Ensure compliance of manuals, procedures, and systems.oManage the Construction team creating an atmosphere of cooperation and team spirit.oDevelop the staff so that every supervisory position has a Deputy able to stand in for absences and rotation leave.oIdentifying and mentoring high potential personnel and recent college/university graduates and allowing training time.oRepresentation in all meetings with clients and subcontractors responsiblyoEnsure healthy & cordial relation with client throughout project.oCost Control & Billing Certification (Client & Subcontractors) for Piping, valves, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical components.oCo-ordination with Material & Consumable Procurement.oReconciliation of Material and Billing quantity.oActive involvement in usage and support to Digitalization.
