Finance Manager – Manufacturing | Roles & Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Budgeting: Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling plans aligned with production and business objectives.

Costing & Cost Control: Manage product/BOM costing, standard vs actual cost analysis, variance analysis, and cost optimization initiatives.

Manufacturing Accounting: Oversee accounting of raw materials, WIP, finished goods, scrap, overhead absorption, and inventory valuation.

Working Capital Management: Control inventory, receivables, payables, and cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.

Financial Reporting & MIS: Prepare monthly MIS, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and management dashboards.

Taxation (Direct & Indirect):

Ensure compliance with GST (returns, reconciliations, ITC optimization, audits).

Handle Income Tax, TDS, advance tax, assessments, and notices.

Manage customs/excise compliances (where applicable).

Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely filings and adherence to Companies Act, accounting standards, and other regulatory requirements.

Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate internal, statutory, tax, and GST audits; strengthen internal controls and SOPs.

Inventory & Production Coordination: Work closely with production, purchase, and stores to control stock levels, slow-moving inventory, and production losses.

Banking & Treasury: Manage banking operations, cash flow forecasting, fund utilization, loans, LC/BG, and compliance with covenants.
