Job Purpose: The role of a Assistant Manager (Procurement) is to assist in overall Plant purchases activities of all Category Procurement, mainly expertise on CAPEX, Import, Raw Materials, Packing & facing, Binder chemical and spares parts.
Job Responsibilities
• On time conversion of PR into PO.
• ARC & AMC.
• Supporting maintenance department for emergency material & service requirement.
• Ensure on time delivery of materials.
• Planning, Sourcing category procurement - Consumable, Spares parts, Packing & Facing, Production chemical, Raw Materials, and services etc.
• Co-ordination with all plant stakeholders, stores department for timely arrangement of materials.
• Forecast demand and supply trends in the industry and ensure that a sound inventory management plan is implemented to mitigate risk associated with short/excess supply.
• Annual, Quarterly, and monthly contracts planning of materials based on the requirements.
• Alternate Vendor development for de-risking.
• Inventory management of RM, Packing, Facing & Process chemicals.
• Monitoring of monthly RM sourcing & inventory planning to ensure the availability of materials on day-to-day basis.
• Willing to travel as and when business requirements.
• Keep track of procurement costs & be within budgets.
• Drive initiatives on procurement cost savings.
Experience : 5 to 6 years
Qualification : BE (Mechanical)
