    JobDescription:The Micro LoansOfficer plays a crucial role in the operations of the microfinanceinstitution focusing on initiating and managing microloans indesignated areas. Reporting to the Meeting Centre Manager theincumbent is responsible for various tasks related to businessdevelopment loan disbursement and collections. The primary dutiesand responsibilitiesinclude:
    StartingBusiness in a NewVillage:
    • Identifysuitable villages within the designated radius for businessexpansion.
    • Conduct comprehensive feasibilitystudies on potential villages analyzing demographics economicactivities and financial needs of thecommunity.
    • Collaborate with the Meeting CentreCharge (MCIC) to obtain approval for entering newvillages.
    Sourcing ofBusiness:
    • Identifypotential customers and establish Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) tofacilitate loan disbursement.
    • Assist customersin completing loan application formsaccurately.
    • Verify applicants residence andbusiness details to ensure compliance with institutionalpolicies.
    • Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC)verification procedures.
    • Providepredisbursement training sessions to educate customers on loanterms and repayment schedules.
    • Develop andmaintain relationships with potential customers through regularvisits and engagementactivities.
    Disbursements:
    • Collectnecessary KYC documents from approvedapplicants.
    • Support the MCIC in coordinatingand executing loan disbursementactivities.
    • Ensure proper documentation andadherence to internal policies during the loan disbursementprocess.
    Collection ofCurrent Dues:
    • Receivecollection sheets and stickers from the MCIC for efficient trackingof loan repayments.
    • Conduct timely groupwisecollections as per the scheduled timeline following establishedprotocols.
    • Safely deposit collected funds andmaintain accurate records.
    • Enter collectiondata into the Management Information System (MERC) for monitoringand reportingpurposes.
    Collection ofOverduePayments:
    • Proactivelyfollow up with customers who have overdue payments utilizingupdated data reports on assignedportfolios.
    • Collect outstanding amountsaccording to established procedures andprotocols.
    • Safely deposit recovered funds intothe designated bank account.
    • Assist the MCIC ininitiating appropriate actions against defaulters in line withinstitutional policies andregulations.

    Qualificationsand Skills:
    • Bachelors degree in Finance Business Administration Economics or relatedfield (preferred).
    • Proven experience inmicrofinance operations or similarroles.
    • Strong understanding of financialprinciples and microfinance industrypractices.
    • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
    • Ability to workindependently and as part of ateam.
    • Proficiency in local language(s) spokenin the assigned area (ifapplicable).
    • Familiarity with MS Office andrelevant software applications.
    • Commitment tointegrity professionalism and socialresponsibility.
