    Sourcing Manager – Grape Skilled Labour

    Location: Various Districts - Maharashtra (On-site, extensive field work)

    Bharat Intelligence is an agritech startup building a tech-enabled labour marketplace for India's farms, with a strong presence in Nashik's grape-growing belt. The platform connects farmers with vetted, trained labour while providing workers with predictable income opportunities.

    Role Overview  

    The Sourcing Manager – Grape Labour will be responsible for on-ground execution of Bharat Intelligence's labour sourcing strategy in assigned grape clusters around Maharashtra. You will focus on discovering, onboarding, and engaging grape-skilled workers and small labour contractors, working closely with the Senior Sourcing Manager and field executives.

    Key Responsibilities  

    - Execute sourcing plans in assigned areas (tribal villages, FPOs, cooperatives, labour mandis, SHGs, etc.) to build a steady pipeline of grape-skilled labour.

    - Conduct village visits, worker meetings, and local campaigns to identify and recruit individual workers and small contractors.

    - Drive end-to-end onboarding: documentation, KYC, basic skills assessment, safety and conduct briefing, and app/platform orientation.

    - Coordinate with training partners and internal teams to mobilize workers for trainings and certify skills as per Bharat Intelligence standards.

    - Support demand–supply matching by aligning worker availability with farmer requirements in your territory.

    - Track and improve key metrics in your area: new workers onboarded, active workers, fulfilment rate, no-show rate, and worker retention.

    - Build and maintain strong relationships with local leaders, SHGs, FPO representatives, and community organizations to open new sourcing channels.

    - Regularly collect on-ground feedback from workers and contractors and share insights with the Senior Sourcing Manager for product and process improvements.

    - Ensure that all sourced workers are informed about applicable wage norms, safety practices, and basic compliance requirements.

    - Maintain accurate records and reports for all sourcing and onboarding activities in your assigned territory.

    Ideal Profile  

    • 0–5 years of experience in sourcing / field sales / field operations / community mobilisation / business development in rural or semi-urban areas.
    • Experience in agritech, agri-inputs, microfinance, dairy, FPO-facing roles, or gig/workforce platforms is an advantage.
    • Strong on-ground networking skills with comfort in interacting with farmers, labour, contractors, SHGs, and village-level institutions.
    • Hands-on field operator; comfortable travelling extensively, conducting meetings in villages and labour mandis, and working outside an office environment.
    • Basic data comfort: can use mobile apps, WhatsApp, and simple Excel/Google Sheets for reporting.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills; ability to build trust with workers and local stakeholders.
    • Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is essential; basic English is a plus.

    Qualifications  

    • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Agriculture, Rural Management, Social Work, Business, or related field; strong relevant experience can compensate for formal specialization.
    • Two-wheeler and willingness to travel daily in and around the Tribal Villages of Maharashtra.

    • Consistent monthly addition of high-quality, active grape-skilled workers and contractors in your assigned territory.
    • High fulfilment rates for farmer labour requests supported by your cluster, with reduced no-shows and improved reliability.
    • Strong local network established (FPOs, SHGs, leaders, contractors) that becomes a repeatable sourcing engine.
