    Your key responsibilities

    In your role as a SAP BW Consultant you will have responsibility for designing & delivering key

    aspects of our technology projects within our client base. You will be expected to:


    • Be part of a work stream within a Planning project team on a client-facing engagement,

    working effectively across the full life cycle delivery of a large, complex technology

    programme.


    • Deliver technology solutions in line with leading best-practice.


    • Engage and collaborate with clients' stakeholders across all levels of the organization.


    • Build excellent client relationships.


    • Work as part of a high performing team, mentoring junior members of staff and

    supporting colleagues to deliver "Best in Class" solutions.

    Skills and attributes for success

    You will have knowledge and experience of the following:


    • SAP BW Application Associate – SAP BW, HANA & ABAP certified or equivalent

    experience.


    • Positioning the Data Modelling features and limitations of the SAP BW solution.


    • Understanding of leading best-practices for developing SAP BW models and scheduling

    Templates.


    • Strong financial planning & consolidation development experience and business

    knowledge


    • Full life cycle project delivery experience including

    o Workshop planning and delivery

    o Requirements & backlog definition

    o Planning model design

    o Creation of Functional & Technical specifications

    o System configuration

    o Build, Test & Deploy phases


    • Hands-on project delivery experience of SAP BPC planning capabilities including:

    o Configure BW Queries and AFO Workbooks functionality and reporting.

    o Implementing Source system connections between SAP BW and external

    application. Automation of data loading.

    o Data acquisition and using BW/ABAP transformation.

    o Modelling dimensions & planning models.

    o Development of Process chain schedules and workbooks.

    o Use of scripting logic and fox formulas to automate data calculations and

    analysis.


    • Core BW Functionality

    o Skilled in creating ADSO's, Composite Providers, exposure to main BW

    development objects. HANA mixed scenarios, including calculation views and

    SQL scripting. Native Hana knowledge is a plus.

    o Design and build Analysis for Office Reports using Formulas, Calculated Key

    Figure, Restricted Key Figure, and Filters and configure Variables with User

    Entry/Default Value, Replacement Path, and Customer Exits.

    o Exposure for SAP Analytics cloud is preferable and proficient in following skills

    BW Modeling

    HANA modelling

    o Bex query designer

    o OpenHub

    o Process Chain

    o Techno Functional Knowledge on SAP SD, FI, CRM, APO

    o Knowledge on S/4HANA impact on existing BW System

    o ABAP related to SAP BW


    • Developed of customer exit variables with experience of expert routines, start / end

    routines for ABAP development.


    • Commentary collection and reporting.


    • Currency Translation Options


    • Data Audit, Validation, and Derivation Forecasting Functionality


    • Rolling Forecasts

    To qualify for the role you must have:


    • Demonstrable ability to manage and participate in work streams


    • Understanding of the full life cycle of SAP BPC planning implementations


    • Experience working with waterfall and agile delivery methodologies


    • Experience delivering financial planning projects


    • Excellent communication skills and ability to build Trusted Adviser' relationships


    • Strong presentation skills


    • Willingness to travel as required in relation to working at Client Sites on specific

    engagements

    Ideally, you'll also have


    • SAP BI experience (SAP BW, HANA and SAC or BOBJ)


    • Experience in complex SAP BPC Planning delivery


    • Experience with SAP integrated planning


    • An understanding of the SAC Planning roadmap and industry trends


    • Industry/sector expertise would be advantageous


    • Exposure to Azure Data Lake would be advantageous
