About the job
Janasya is seeking a skilled and experienced E-commerce Fashion Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for merchandising, selecting, analyzing and managing fashion products for our own website and marketplaces.
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify fashion trends and predict/analyse consumer demand for the e-commerce platform.
· Create right seasonal buying plan along at right price points, by studying past online sales data and offline trend insights as per given OTB.
· Work closely with the marketing team and product team to strategies and execute product/collection launches, sales events, and other promotions.
· Monitor sales data, study ROAS and adjust inventory levels/ replenishment to ensure optimal stock levels.
· Manage and coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
· Study and publish reports on sell through, sales trend, collection performance, colour/price/category trend, bestsellers and slow movers- weekly, monthly.
· Conduct competitive research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
· Maintain positive relationships with other buyers, product team and designers.
· Track inventory and align it for a quick & smooth transition to avoid sales disruption.
· Track and increase the core business contribution by introducing new products and ensuring "never out of stock" at any given point of time.
· Analyse historical performance to be able to support buying decision.
· Sharing production plans on time to book/manage MSI capacity
· Prepare Marketing/Promotion Calendar as per the planning with marketing team.
· Schedule Product Training as per requirement for every New Launches.
· Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in apparel production, apparel merchandising, or a related field from NIFT, NID, Pearl Academy or equivalent.
• At least 5-7 years of experience as an E-commerce Fashion Buyer or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of fashion trends and the ability to predict consumer demand.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience with analysing sales data and managing inventory levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Excel is a must. Good to have hands on experience with Microsoft ppt and word doc.
