    Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Lead

    Overview:

    As a highly experienced Lead Data Engineer, you will lead and manage teams of Data Engineers in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade data processing pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.


    About the Role:

    This role is responsible for architecting and overseeing the successful migration of complex ETL pipelines and data warehouses to GCP, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance.

    You will collaborate extensively with Data Engineers, Technology leadership, and Business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into scalable and efficient data architectures.


    Main Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage teams of Data Engineers in the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade data processing pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
    • Architect and oversee the successful migration of complex ETL pipelines and data warehouses to GCP, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance.
    • Collaborate extensively with Data Engineers, Technology leadership, and Business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into scalable and efficient data architectures.
    • Champion GCP best practices for data engineering, promoting innovation, efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness across all projects.
    • Apply deep hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform services, particularly BigQuery, Dataform, and Dataplex, to solve intricate data challenges.
    • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the data engineering team, fostering their growth and ensuring project success.
    • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing decision-making at all levels.

    Requirements:

    • Overall, 12 to 15 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud platforms.
    • 3-4 years of experience specifically leading Data Engineer teams responsible for developing enterprise-grade data processing pipelines on Google Cloud.
    • Proven track record of leading at least one project of medium to high complexity involving the migration of ETL pipelines and data warehouses to the cloud.
    • 3-5 years of the latest experience working with premium consulting companies.
    • In-depth hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform services, especially BigQuery, Dataform, and Dataplex.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to converse equally well with Data Engineers, Technology leadership, and Business leadership.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
