With your expertise in networking AnsiblePython/Go and Debian youll play a vital role in fortifyingoptimising and expanding this intricate technologicalecosystem.

Gain a foundationalunderstanding of our platform including its architecture componentsand workflows.
Acquire handson experiencedeploying new systems within our infrastructure and resolving basicsupport requests under the guidance of senior teammembers.
Familiarise yourself with theengineering departments structure processes and collaboration toolsestablishing relationships and understanding teamdynamics.

In your first 6 months andbeyond you will:
Delve deeper intothe architecture of our platform exploring its detailed designcomponents and interconnections.
Familiariseyourself with our service level objectives (SLOs) and key metricsactively contributing to their definition monitoring andrefinement.
Develop and execute plans andforecasts for infrastructure capacity anticipating future needs andscaling resources accordingly to meet businessrequirements.
Implement optimizations andenhancements to improve service performance collaborating withcrossfunctional teams to implement best practices and emergingtechnologies.
Utilize automation tools such asAnsible to streamline and enhance the management and configurationof our infrastructure components andservers.
Provide valuable insights andrecommendations on new infrastructure designs and initiativesleveraging your expertise to ensure scalability reliability andsecurity.

Participate in emergency response OnCall Duty rotations and Postmortem Analysis responding swiftly toincidents conducting thorough root cause analysis and contributingto continuous improvementefforts.

What you bring to theteam

4 years of experience in Linuxadministration preferably with Debian or Ubuntu within a DevOps orSRE capacity demonstrating a deep understanding of systemarchitecture and operations.

Proficiency inutilising alerting and telemetry tools such as Grafana PrometheusZabbix ElasticSearch or similar platforms to monitor analyse andtroubleshoot system performance andreliability.

Extensive experience in networkingincluding TCP/IP VLANs VPNs BGP firewalling and troubleshootingensuring robust and secure communication between systemcomponents.

Proficiency in at least oneprogramming language such as Python Go or PHP enabling automationscripting and tool development to enhance operationalefficiency.

Handson experience with Dockercontainers and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes (k8s)facilitating scalable and resilient deployment of microservices andapplications.
Expertise in configurationmanagement software such as Ansible Chef or Puppet enablingconsistent and automated management of infrastructureresources.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such asJenkins GitLab or similar platforms enabling continuous integrationdelivery and deployment of software changes with reliability andefficiency.

Knowledge of relational databasemanagement systems (RDBMS) like MySQL SQLite or Postgresfacilitating effective management and optimization of data storageand retrieval.
Proven independence proactivityand a solutionoriented mindset driving initiatives and resolvingchallenges effectively in a dynamic and fastpacedenvironment.
Exceptional problemsolving skillswith a track record of identifying root causes and implementingsustainable solutions to complex technicalissues.
Excellent communication skills inEnglish both written andspoken.
