    Description

    Job Accountabilities:

    • Review and approve construction contractor QA documents such as QAP, work procedure, WPS, audit plan etc. to ensure compliance with project specifications and contract documents.
    • Organize, implement, and conduct quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) programs in accordance with the company's quality policy.
    • Coordinate, witness, and ensure fulfillment of inspections for piping, pipeline, structure, and equipment installation related jobs as per project specification requirements and approved inspection test plans.
    • Witness and approve various procedure qualification tests such as WPS, CPQT, RPQT, FPS etc. for site use purposes.
    • Publish quality-related issues in the form of quality observations/non-conformance reports (NCRs) on a daily basis and follow up with contractors/vendors for early satisfactory closure of quality issues.
    • Review and approve vendor QA plans for project materials/equipment in accordance with master receipt documents, approved drawings, data sheets, project specifications, and international codes and standards.
    • Coordinate and organize meetings with stakeholders for major quality lapses and record agreed resolution points in meeting minutes (MOMs) and follow up for early compliance.
    • Closely coordinate with project management teams on holdup jobs due to non-compliance with quality requirements and discuss forward paths for early compliance and resumption of work.
    • Discuss with contractors/vendors and formulate/update existing QA plans/procedures for better monitoring and controlling of jobs based on site conditions.
    • Conduct audits for construction contractors for compliance with quality requirements as per project specifications/contractual requirements and circulate audit findings reports to concerned parties and follow up for early resolution.
    • Coordinate document controls of technical submittals, drawings, etc. with project teams and ensure all necessary validation has been done and issued to concerned parties.
    • Attend monthly project review meetings and alert project teams of potential problems or raise issues that need attention from higher management.
    • Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of progress of construction activities, identifying critical areas, and reporting to management.
    • Ensure smooth handover of projects to O&M teams as per approved handover-to-operate (HOTO) procedures.

    Skill & Competencies:

    • Hands-on work experience in CBM fields/refineries/oil & gas industries with exposure to QA/QC.
    • ASNT Level 3, ASNT Level 2 in radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), visual testing (VT), phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT).
    • Thorough knowledge of codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, IS, BS, ISO, etc.).
    • Able to understand and apply testing procedures, prepare procedures, and maintain inspection data and forms.
    • In-depth understanding of QA/QC requirements and standards. Able to read and understand AFC drawings, P&ID's, and isometric drawings.
    • Team player capable of managing small teams.

    Education Required:

    Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

    Experience Required:

    Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in CBM field development projects, oil & gas industries, refineries, petrochemical projects, etc.
