    Role Summary

    To provide consultancy services to our internal and external software and administration clients in all aspects of Pensions Systems Configuration.As an expert across all aspects of configuration, will act as either a workstream lead on project or technical design authority.Will also be responsible for the mentoring and development of other team members, and enforcing and enhancing best practice and standards across the department.

    Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Undertake Technical Design Authority role in projects requiring significant design input.
  • Provide consultancy to clients in relation to the application of Equiniti software for new requirements, upgrades, changing legislation or changes to the client's schemes.
  • Provide consultancy to all project teams, as required, on all aspects of system design and implementation.
  • Provide support to project teams, attending client meetings and internal meetings as requested.
  • Monitor systems design and implementation to ensure consistency of approach and re-use of previously developed ideas and software.
  • Identify individuals with the potential for promotion to a more senior role.
  • Provide mentoring support to help others develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain current knowledge of legislation, participate in its collation and interpretation and assist the formulation and roll-out of "product" system solutions in response to any changes
  • Effectively manage the demands of several concurrent projects,
  • Identify and nurture individual staff development and training, taking into consideration the best fit with Company direction and annual budget.
  • Be aware of the contractual requirements to the Client and their implications upon the work being undertaken.
  • Design and provide a solution which is fit for purpose and in line with budgetary constraints.
  • Be technically competent in the software tools / programming languages as required.
  • Ensure adherence to the systems development standards.
  • Encourage others to be positive and highly motivated.

  • Skills , Capabilities and Attributes

    The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience skills and behaviours:

    Essential

  • Previous experience in a Senior Pensions Systems role
  • Experience of Pension scheme calculations, configuration or data migration
  • Pensions domain expertise, ideally across both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution
  • Client facing
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Demonstrable analytical skills
  • >5 years experience within the Pensions Industry
  • Preferably educated to degree standard with good A 'levels as a minimum.
  • Relevant Pensions Industry qualifications (e.g. PMI).
  • Non Core Duties

  • Take an interest in the Company's markets and its products, identifying where possible, opportunities and recommendations for business and/or market development.
  • Provide pensions and systems advice and training to internal staff and clients as required.
  • Support the Company's business and service its clients by high standards in personal conduct, effectiveness and service orientation.
  • Comply with the Company's Quality Management System.
  • Operate within the established resource levels and to propose and seek further authorisation from Management if additional resources are required.
  • Accurate completion and timely submission of weekly timesheets to support project reporting and invoicing.
