- 5+ years of relevant experience, 3+ years of experience with AWS, SnowFlake, DBT, Airflow, Terraform, CI/CD tools.
- Experience designing, building and operating robust data systems with reliable monitoring and logging practices.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and query performance tuning (SQL).
- High level of scripting proficiency in Python.
- Experience architecting and implementing data governance processes and tooling (such as data catalogs, lineage tools, role-based access control, PII handling).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Production Monitoring and Support: You will monitor, maintain, deploy, and support a critical data pipeline, addressing high-priority issues within the defined SLA.
- Data Operational Updates and Recommendations: You will provide timely updates on data operational issues and recommend improvements to optimize the efficiency and reliability of data pipelines.
- Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting: You will perform performance tuning and troubleshooting of data components in the pipeline to identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring optimal data processing and delivery.
- Data Governance Compliance: You will support data governance policies and regulations, implementing necessary controls to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance.
- Monitoring Tools and Alerts: You will create monitoring tools and alerts to proactively detect and address issues or anomalies in the data pipeline, ensuring timely resolution and optimal performance.
- Infrastructure Ownership: You will be responsible for managing the administration, infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines of data platform tools used within the organization, ensuring smooth operation through configuration management, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Release and Change Management: You will be responsible for release management, change management, and other software operational methodologies within the data organization.
- Agile Collaboration: You will actively participate in daily and weekly scrum ceremonies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align priorities, provide updates, and ensure effective communication and coordination.
