    Job Description

    The Application Developer Senior Analyst plays a vital role in applying standard programming procedures and in-depth knowledge of relevant subject matter to a sub-system area.

    Working according to approved specifications, this Specialist will tackle work assignments that may arrive with varying levels of detail, requiring further investigation, objectivity, and creativity to find solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain, modify, and support systems or 3rd party components (programs, processes, configuration), ensuring they function within the larger system scope.
    • Complete unit testing for all work processes.
    • Troubleshoot and investigate problems.
    • Develop solutions to issues involving obscure causes.
    • Diagnose and correct errors without known causes.
    • Ensure data integrity and system stability by performing necessary tasks.
    • Write and maintain documentation supporting primary areas of responsibility.
    • Apply knowledge of current technologies and methodologies with business subject matter to develop technical solutions.
    • Confer with stakeholders to understand situations requiring intervention.
    • Translate processes into practice using current IT toolsets.
    • Seek advice from higher-level IT associates when precedents are unclear.
    • Expand the use of current information technologies, techniques, and processes as they apply to Goodyear.
    • Increase breadth and depth of technical knowledge by expanding the knowledge base.

    Requirements

    A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

    4-5 years of experience in applying current information technology to specific business areas is necessary.

    Proficiency in C language is mandatory.

    Familiarity with the following technologies is essential: PHP, PL/SQL, SQL, ActiveMq/Camel, ExtJs, Linux, C# .net, containers (docker/podman), version control (github, cvs), configuration as code (ansible), Shell Scripting, Build pipelines.
