Key responsibilities

Allocation of jobs as per the work planned out by the Dy Manager Electrical / Dy. Chief Engineer. Maintain shift breakdown records and log book.

Verification of status of preventive and breakdown job reports and authorizing the job as closed.

Ensure that the company health, safety & environment policy and procedures are observed. Act as a on the scene commander for any Emergency situations and Provide backup for dealing with Emergencies.

Liaise & oversee concerned works and repairs being done by site contractors and department staff in the entire terminal on the advice of the Dy Manager Electrical / Dy Ch. Engineer.

Ensure compliance and implement:

OH&S Rules and Regulations.

Hazard and Risk Management

Accident Reports

IGT's Standard Operating Procedures.

Work permits

Observe the provisions of IGT's management system.

Contribute to the continuous improvement process and to the meeting of relevant objectives and targets.

House keeping in work place/ Equipment

In the absence of Sr. Executive, take the responsibility of Sr. Executive when informed by higher authorities

Ensure, recording of jobs, in the shift log books. Verify the job report submitted by the shift staff BE/BTec in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Limits of authority As per existing rules. QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

In case of BE/Btech, at least 3 years relevant experience in heavy lift equipments / container handling equipments, in case of Diploma holders, at least 5 years of relevant experience
