    Description

    Job Title: Big Data Developer

    Job Summary:

    • Experience with big data technologies and associated tools such as Hadoop, Unix, HDFS, Hive, Impala, etc.
    • Proficient in using Spark/Scala
    • Data Import/Export using Sqoop or similar tools
    • Airflow, Jenkins or similar other automation tools
    • Excellent knowledge of SQL Server and database structures
    • T-SQL queries and stored procedures
    • Jira/Confluence/GitLab

    Responsibilities:

    1. Gather client requirements and translate them into system requirements.
    2. Contribute to the overall estimation of work requirements for Technology Leads and Project Managers.
    3. Develop efficient programs/systems, ensuring effective Design, Development, Validation and Support activities.
    4. Code, test, and document new or modified data systems for robust and scalable applications.
    5. Collaborate with business community to understand requirements, determine training needs and deliver user training sessions.
    6. Evaluate future technologies and provide feedback on new releases/upgrades.

    Requirements:

    • Strong experience with big data technologies and associated tools.
    • Proficient in using Spark/Scala.
    • Excellent knowledge of SQL Server and database structures.
    • Team player willing to collaborate throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment.
    • Ability to solve problems and meet deadlines within minimal supervision.
