    Job Responsibilities:

    • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document functional requirements especially in Management Reporting, Budgeting and Financial Planning & Analysis. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to elicit comprehensive business needs. Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications.
    • Interacting with stakeholders for their requirements, mapping their current KRAs and correlating the same with the objective of the engagement. Drafting / preparation of detailed diagnostic report or business requirement document (BRD) including scope, project plan, stages and timelines.
    • Business Process Analysis: Analyze existing business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization with your expertise in internal audits, process audits & knowledge of finance control. Work with business users to define and document current state and future state processes. Provide insights and recommendations for process enhancements.
    • Mapping AS-IS and TO-BE processes for automation such as Financial Planning and Analysis, monthly closure of books of accounts, management reporting, budgeting and preparation of annual operating plan, revenue to receipts (R2R), procurement to pay (P2P), forecasting based on scenario analysis and simulation.
    • System Design & Configuration: Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that align with business requirements. Configure and customize software applications to meet specific functional requirements. Ensure the seamless integration of technological solutions into existing business processes.
    • For the software solutions being developed for monthly closing processes / budgeting & planning / management reporting, defining the arithmetic or financial logic for various KPIs, data-validation parameters & formats required for the inputs, the flow of calculations, any intermediate outputs and reconciliation etc.
    • Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to validate that system configurations meet functional requirements along with issue resolution to ensure reliability & performance of implemented solutions.
    • Owning projects in terms of development cycle & sprints and bringing them to conclusion. Tracking iterations / versions at various stages, checking and validation of output at various stages.
    • User Training, Support & Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials for end-users. Provide ongoing support and assistance to users during and post-implementation. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation of business processes, requirements, and system configurations. Develop user manuals and training guides to facilitate user understanding.
    • Business Analysis: Awareness of business processes and FP&A function processes particularly in sectors like Manufacturing, ITES, Real Estate & Retail shall be helpful. It would be good to have deeper understanding of typical workflows and KPIs for business functions like financials & accounting, operations & logistics, sales & marketing, HR etc.
    • Data & Business Analytics Tools:
    • Office Tools: Deep experience of working with MS Excel and other tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.
    • BI Software: Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker, etc.
    • Cloud Services & Programming: Azure, AWS, MySQL, Python, R and similar others.
    • Accounting Software & ERPs: Experience of working with various ERP & accounting applications including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, Zoho, Quickbooks, etc.

    Applicants having relevant experience of any one or more of the above responsibilities will be an advantage and will be duly considered.

    Qualifications & Work Experience:

    • Chartered accountant/ MBA finance or similar. Experience in closing, management reporting and designing control processes, forecasting would be preferred.
    • Hands-on work experience of 5+ years as Functional Consultant in the domain of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) as a part of mid-sized to large business.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools.
    • Experience with relevant software applications & services like Azure, Power BI, SAP, or any large ERP
