    Description

    KMC is seeking a a Kafka Integration Specialist to join our Business-As-Usual (BAU) team, responsible for integrating Kafka components and ensuring seamless operation within our Kafka eventing platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Java and Kafka, with a proven track record of troubleshooting and onboarding Kafka components.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and integrate Kafka components into our eventing platform.
    • Conduct troubleshooting and debugging of Java and Kafka-related issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • Work closely with development and operations teams to implement scalable and maintainable Kafka solutions.
    • Onboard new components and services onto the Kafka platform, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
    • Monitor Kafka platform health, performance, and security, implementing best practices for stability and efficiency.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members, contributing to the knowledge base and best practices.
    • Stay updated with the latest Kafka features and industry trends, recommending improvements to enhance system functionality.


    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 5-8 years of experience in a similar role, with significant exposure to Kafka and Java.
    • Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, including brokers, zookeepers, topics, and partitions.
    • Proficient in Java programming, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize code.
    • Good to have experience with Kafka administration, configuration, and deployment in a production environment.
    • Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
