- Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and integrate Kafka components into our eventing platform.
- Conduct troubleshooting and debugging of Java and Kafka-related issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Work closely with development and operations teams to implement scalable and maintainable Kafka solutions.
- Onboard new components and services onto the Kafka platform, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Monitor Kafka platform health, performance, and security, implementing best practices for stability and efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members, contributing to the knowledge base and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest Kafka features and industry trends, recommending improvements to enhance system functionality.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar role, with significant exposure to Kafka and Java.
- Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, including brokers, zookeepers, topics, and partitions.
- Proficient in Java programming, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize code.
- Good to have experience with Kafka administration, configuration, and deployment in a production environment.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
