    We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to handle our company's procurement activities. The Sourcing Specialist's responsibilities include developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities.

    To be successful as a Sourcing Specialist, you should be able to manage and optimize purchasing activities and processes. An outstanding Sourcing Specialist should have excellent leadership abilities and be able to negotiate the best possible deals with suppliers.

    Responsibilities

    • Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
    • Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
    • Managed supplier relations and negotiated contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
    • Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
    • Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
    • Managing the maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery.
    • Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
    • Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
    • Working to improve purchasing systems, processes & driving value proposition by implementing PTMS (Process Technology Manufacturing System) using lean methodologies.
    • Training new team members in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.
    • Negotiate supplier contracts—Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc. Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
    • Perform strategic procurement activities, search for better deals, and find more profitable suppliers.
    • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
    • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
    • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers. Assessing supplier profiles and analyzing offers
    • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
    • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
    • Creates purchase orders.
    • Global alignment with Sourcing leadership in the U.S.
    • Performs risk management assessments.

    Requirements:

    • 8+years' experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment (Automotive, switchgear, etc.)
    • Experience working with U.S. based suppliers (preferred)
    • Understanding of the U.S. Market & Unit of measure standards
    • Experience with Syteline or any other ERP (ERP system competencies) would be a plus.
    • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering/ Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Logistics preferred.
    • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes & experience in dealing with diverse commodities
    • Experience in commodity buying/ project management/ contract management.
    • Excellent communication and time management skills
    • Demonstrated ability to understand business, management, and finance principles.
    • Good understanding of local market (India).
    • Strong Microsoft suite and analytical skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop.
    • Ability to work and communicate within the organization at all levels, including leadership.
    • Ability to travel (valid passport).
    • Customer service and ability to work collaboratively.
    • High degree of independence & integrity.
    • Attention to detail.

    Languages: Fluent English language skills are necessary
