You will be working as Product Manager – Pigging at global grade 13 and will be part of Process Automation business area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Product Line Manager and will be responsible for contributing to ABB's success with technology, software, product or system development. Identifying and implementing innovative solutions to relevant problems. Providing ideas and is able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

Your responsibilities

• Managing the assigned R&D projects related to the pigging product line applying own innovative or creative ideas to create value and propose concrete follow-up and improvement activities or projects following ABB Gate Model Framework
• Participating constructively in working teams for the achievement of common targets and documenting work results (like findings, designs, or software), allowing others to maintain and improve them
• Understanding the importance of IP for ABB's business and contributes to IP-related discussions in their projects. Defining technical orientations to cope with specific regional requirements to understand customer value creation and work to increase customer satisfaction
• Developing and optimizing the pigging product line with respect to market evolutions (customers, competitors, geographies), supervising trials and tests on prototypes. Participating to fairs, exhibitions, conferences, webinars to gather intelligence to stay abreast of the state of the art in their own competence area, as well as new and evolving technologies
• Maintaining the catalogue of products and the cost data base for the designated geographical area
• Performing the technical definition during bidding phase, bringing technical support to the sales team during discussions with customers, approving selected standard products and customized design during execution phase and overseas detail engineering performed by operations
• Acting as technical referent to support in stat-up phase and after-sales, supporting and helping the other product managers on the other product lines (drum decanting system, mixing, etc.) locally in region

Your background

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related quantitative field
• Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience in a Mechanical designing in industries such as Energy, Oil&Gas, Petrochemicals, Chemicals in an industrial company, engineering company or technology provider
• Experience in Pigging Technology experience mandatory
• Having strong experience in Solidworks, PDM or PLM – Windchill, ProductPlan
