    What is the Senior Business Systems Analyst - Global Fund Administration & Oversight responsible for?

    The Senior Business System Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert in GFAO Automation Team.

    The Senior Business System Analyst will need to work with multiple teams to understand their business process and help them with automated solutions using new digital tools in Franklin Templeton.

    The Senior Business Systems Analyst will need to work with Franklin Templeton technology teams to understand internal systems and ensure data quality for business reporting.

    The position will entail taking the lead in both daily & project work, with a principal focus on automation & reporting.

    This position will also establish and maintain relationships within Franklin Templeton Investments internally and externally to ensure critical issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

    What are the ongoing responsibilities of Senior Business Systems Analyst - Global Fund Administration & Oversight responsible for?


    Responsible for taking ownership of the project from automation perspective and taking initiative to set up follow up calls/reach business teams as required.

    Evaluate business processes and document requirements/procedures for automation use cases.


    Participating in the project releases process by identifying and prioritizing business data needs, working with local teams to accurately document data ownership, quality rules and licensing terms.

    Assist Supervisor with resolving technical issues on existing automation projects.

    Collaborate with team members and guide team on automated solutions utilizing digital tools. Act as mentor and point of escalation to the other team members.

    Develop automated solutions to business issues using Alteryx, Power Automate, & Python.

    Develop visualization dashboards for internal teams & board members to review monthly & quarterly reports using Power BI.

    Drive for solutions by continually seeking ways to reduce risk and streamline processes.


    Lead and/or actively participate in various projects in the department; Identify project objective, resources and barriers, and implement project strategies; Ensure successful and timely project completion.

    What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

    Bachelor's degree in information technology with 3-5+ years of work experience in finance industry.

    Alteryx Core Designer

    Microsoft Certified:
    Power Platform App Maker (PL-100)

    Microsoft Certified:
    Power BI Data Analyst Associate

    Minimum 5 years' experience using statistical techniques on complex data to solve business problems.

    2 years' experience with using data querying and scripting languages to analyze large data sets (Python, R, SQL).

    2 years' experience using Microsoft Power Applications (Power Automate, Dataverse & Data Flows)

    1 years' experience in Alteryx for data manipulation and automation of business processes.


    Must be well versed with the functioning of various Microsoft office-based software applications as well as general database programming concepts related to other applications.

    Ability to analyze, document, develop and manage complex business processes, think analytically, and solve problems.


    Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to develop and deliver presentations to multiple types of audiences and ability to interact cross-functionally and drive both business and technical discussions.

    Experience in the financial domain and fund administration is a plus.

    Flexible approach and ability to multitask on various projects.

    Work on matters with moderate scope and high complexity; ensure solutions are consistent with organizational objectives.

    Work is generally supervised; follow general guidelines. Escalate non-routine matters to supervisor.


    Develop solutions to a variety of problems and make decisions on issues that do not have broad risk guidelines or major financial impact.
