JobOverview

The Specialist HVACDesign I plays a crucial role in the design and development ofHeating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems within theorganization. This individual will work closely with theengineering team to conceptualize plan and execute HVAC projectsensuring compliance with industry standards and clientrequirements.

KeyResponsibilites

• ExecuteEngineering activities (Concept Front End Engineering DevelopmentTechnical Study DetailDesign).
• Performcalculations applying HVAC engineering principles techniquesprocedures and criteria for rigdesigns.
• Assist indevelopment and maintenance of test procedures to ensure componentand systemperformance.
• Preparationof design deliverables with due consideration for applicable Codes&Standards.
• Preparespecification technical evaluation Supplier documentation reviewand expediting withSupplier.
• Interfacewith other departments to reflect the asondate input from otherDepartments asapplicable.
• Maintainthe required technical quality ofwork.
• Identify scopeand schedule changes in accordance with the Change ControlProcess.
• Ensure thatdesigns comply with the relevant codes standards regulations andprocedures.
• AttendingFactory Inspection Test &reports.
• Progressmonitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineeringdocuments.
• Capture allchanges / modifications in the deliverables that have beenintimated by project prior to release ofdeliverable.
• Ensureappropriate checking & review of all documents / drawingsbefore release at any revisionstatus.
• Attendingproject reviewmeetings.
• Coordinationwith the other Engineering disciplines Customer andSupplier.
• EnsureSupplier documentation received ontime.
• Control ofQuality of engineering documents regarding Quality assurancebasis.
• Ensurecompliance with HSE policies and procedures asapplicable.
• Ensurecompliance with all applicable information security policies&procedures.

Qualifications

• BachelorsDegree in MechanicalEngineering.
• Atleast 39 years experience in engineering design department of anyoffshore rig building or ship buildingindustry.
• Soundknowledge of international codes & standards Maritimeregulations and classrules.
• Demonstratedability to apply HVAC principles in the development andspecification of HVAC systems andcomponents.
• Workingknowledge of HVAC equipment fan curves coil psychometrics pressuredrop heat transfer and ductedsystems.
• Exposureto AutoCAD and 3D design tools likeAVEVA.
• Knowledge/Experiencein heat load calculation software like HAP orequivalent.
• Demonstratedhigh order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within amultinationalenvironment.
• Demonstratedability to influence and motivate others with regards to continuousimprovement.
• Goodpresentationskills.
