    Role- Admin.

    Required Technical Skill Set- BOBJ.

    Must-Have-

    (Ideally should not be more than 3-5).


    • Must have 6+ years of IT experience with at least 80% of admin. experience all through career.
    • Skilled in BO Administration, Installation, Server management,Patch Upgradations, Users & Groups management and Content management.
    • Have good knowledge in BO tools (Information Design Tool, Universe Designer, Web Intelligence Rich Client, Desktop Intelligence, Dashboards, CCM, Central Management Console, BI Launch Pad (Info. View), Import Wizard, Promotion Management tool and Report Conversion Tool).
    • Experienced in report bursting techniques like Publications & Profiling , Schedulings and Events.
    • Experience with Linux system administration is desirable.

    Good-to-Have:

    • Excellent communication skills with exposure to support processes.
    • Flexible and versatile to adapt to any new environment, work on any projects, handling any kind of responsibility.
    • Able to create Automation Shell Scripts .
    • Creation and maintenance of test documents .

    Overview:

    The Business Objects (BO) Administrator, also known as the BOBJ Admin, plays a vital role in managing the organization's Business Objects platform.

    They are responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the system, optimizing its performance, and securing and maintaining its integrity.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, configure, and upgrade Business Objects (BO) software.
    • Monitor server and system performance, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and ensure compliance.
    • Manage user access, permissions, and profiles within the BO platform.
    • Provide technical guidance and support for BOBJrelated projects and tasks.
    • Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery strategies.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address reporting and analytics requirements.
    • Optimize and tune the BO system for efficient performance.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations.
    • Create and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.
    • Train and support endusers on BOBJ tools and functionalities.
    • Stay updated with industry best practices and new features in BOBJ.
    • Participate in evaluating and integrating thirdparty tools and applications with BOBJ.
    • Conduct performance and capacity monitoring to ensure system scalability.
    • Contribute to the overall data governance strategy.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in Business Objects administration and support.
    • Proficiency in SAP Business Objects Enterprise, Web Intelligence, and Crystal Reports.
    • Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
    • Experience in system performance tuning and optimization.
    • Knowledge of security protocols, user authentication, and data encryption.
    • Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
    • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills in troubleshooting BOBJ issues.
    • Understanding of backup and recovery strategies and disaster planning.
    • Certification in SAP Business Objects is a plus.
    • Effective communication and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team in a fastpaced environment.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proactive mindset and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
    • Knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments.
