    Description

    THE ROLE :


    As a Lead WordPress Developer, you'll be leading the charge in crafting cutting-edge WordPress websites, collaborating on seamless implementations, and optimizing for superior SEO performance.

    Your expertise will be pivotal in customizing and extending WordPress functionality, ensuring our projects not only meet but exceed specified requirements within our agile, fast-paced, execution-driven tech team.

    We're seeking a strategic contributor who will build best in class web experiences, with accessibility and best practices in mind.

    Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :


    • Leading the development of WordPress websites, encompassing theme and plugin development, customization, and optimization for SEO
    • Collaborating with designers and frontend developers to translate designs into pixelperfect implementations, user interfaces, and SEOcompliant structures
    • Customizing and extending WordPress functionality to align with project requirements, specifications, and SEO goals
    • Ensuring WordPress websites adhere to optimal performance, speed, and SEO best practices, including thorough keyword research, metadata optimization, and content refinement
    • Troubleshooting and resolving SEOrelated issues, conducting code reviews, and providing technical guidance and support to junior developers
    THE QUALIFICATIONS :


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
    • 5 to 8 years of WordPress development, showcasing a portfolio with custom WordPress websites and SEOfocused projects
    • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
    • Expert in WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and SEO optimization
    • Strong grasp of responsive design, mobilefirst development, and SEO best practices
    • Knowledgeable in onpage and offpage SEO techniques, including keyword research, metadata optimization, and content refinement
    • Experience with version control systems, especially Git, is a plus
    • WordPress certification or relevant training is advantageous
    • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
    • Wellorganized, detailoriented, and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
