Job Description Lead Cloud APIEngineer

Job Overview:

TheCloud API Lead Engineer/ design will work as part of the DataAbstraction Team focusing on all stages of API developmentimplementation and management including frontend developmentbackend development data modeling and cloud integrations andworking with a team of junior developers. This individual will havea strong focus on AWS data models and API development. They willinfluence the departments strategy make decisions on moderatelycomplex to complex issues regarding technical approaches forproject components and work without direction. They will exerciseconsiderable latitude in determining objectives and approaches toassignments.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement cloudbased APIswith a focus on AWS and data modeling

Lead ateam of junior developers in delivering a coordinated set of APIsacross Master Data Systems (Advisor Investor Account Market Data)and the Transaction and Position Books and Records

Develop scalable and maintainable applications usingmodern cloudnative technologies

Collaboratewith Agile teams to design develop test implement and supporttechnical solutions

Write automated test casesto ensure the correctness responsiveness and efficiency of thesoftware product

Provide expertise toinfluence project initiative and maintenance technical directionduring discovery planning and implementation stages

Maintain modern development standards with bestpracticeapproaches and development processes

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in computer scienceor related field or equivalent work experience

7 years of experience as a Senior Developer including designing andimplementing complex systems from scratch

5years of experience working with AWS data models API design APIdevelopment

Fullstack developer with 5 yearsof experience designing applications developing web services(REST/SOAP) and integrating with vendor APIs

5years of extensive web/service development experience withtechnologies like: .NET Python .NET C# JSON RDS Node MVCJavascript/JQuery HTML CSS

5 years ofexperience working with source control tools like GIT etc.

Agile development experience

Experience with Python Swagger

Experience with cloud development experience AWS and AWS certified

Experience with API Gateway tools like Kong orsimilar

Experience with Test DrivenDevelopment (TDD)
