Service Engineer
Position Overview
The Service Engineer is responsible for installation, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Laser & Automation Machinery. The role focuses on ensuring maximum uptime of machines, delivering timely service support, and maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance
- Install, configure, and test CNC, Fiber Laser, Laser Engraver & Cutting machines at client sites.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure smooth and reliable machine performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
Technical Support
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
- Resolve breakdowns and service requests within defined timelines.
- Assist customers with daily operation procedures and basic troubleshooting.
Customer Handling
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.
- Ensure clear communication regarding service activities and recommendations.
- Train operators on machine usage, safety protocols, and maintenance best practices.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain service reports, job cards, and maintenance logs.
- Update service software/CRM after every service visit.
- Report recurring issues and suggest improvements to the technical team.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of Fiber Laser, Laser Engraver & Cutting machines technology.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Familiarity with calibration, color management, and print quality settings.
- Good communication skills and customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage field assignments efficiently.
Education & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Printing, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical.
- 0 to 5 years of experience in servicing CNC, Fiber Laser, Laser Engraver & Cutting machines.
- Experience in major Fiber Laser, Laser Engraver & Cutting machine brands is an added advantage.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel for service tasks.
- Valid driving license preferred.
- Strong problem-solving attitude and commitment to service quality.
