Today, the organisation is transforming the Indian education ecosystem through its own programmes, through curriculum and pedagogical innovations and through the development of holistic assessment frameworks while also shifting the narratives around the purpose of education. Dream a Dream's work is spread across 6 Indian states reaching over 2.2 million children through strategic partnerships with state governments and collaborations with other non-profits and funders in India.

    Role: Manager – National Partnerships

    Location: Delhi

    Reporting Manager: Associate Director - National Partnerships

    Salary per Annum: INR 10.92 Lakhs

    Job Responsibility

    The primary responsibility includes –Develop and Manage the partnerships with the central agencies to build urgency and criticality on the importance of life skills and social emotional learning in the ecosystem along with redefining the narrative around success. Through developing strategic partnerships and leading the advocacy efforts of the organization, build a movement to equip millions of young people from vulnerable backgrounds to overcome adversity and thrive in the 21st century.

    Roles and responsibilities (include scope, accountability, goals to be achieved by the role, people management):

    • S/he/them will be responsible for building, managing, and supporting the projects with central agencies.
    • Develop and manage relationships with key senior government officials, influencers, and policy makers at the National level.
    • Visualize and strategize on impacting the policy planning and initiatives at central agencies aligned with the strategic intent.
    • Contextualize the content of Life Skills / Social and Emotional learning (SEL) based Curriculum on the requirements.
    • Develop strategies to ensure participation of Dream a Dream in key initiatives involving policy changes to include life skills and social emotional learning into educational reforms.
    • Collect and maintain up-to-date data on key policy and advocacy issues related to education, child and youth development, Life Skills, and social emotional learning.
    • Pay close attention to advocacy priorities and their fulfilment. Regularly review priorities and update or modify them based on changing community needs as identified by board, staff, and community members.
    • Build relationships with different national agencies to advocate the idea of SEL based curriculum.
    • Risk management of projects: Lead the development and maintenance of risk management plans of all key advocacy projects.
    • Work closely on education reforms and manage all logistical support to the team for roll-out, managing and planning of it.
    • Any other work assigned by reporting manager.

    General Responsibilities

    • Develop linkages with national, international, and local media actors and with policy institutions.
    • Contribute to achievement of strategic goals set by the organization.
    • Participate in strategic planning, annual planning, and budgeting process for the organization.
    • Develop strategies to keep team members engaged in outreach efforts.
    • Working with a small team, you would also be required to multitask between roles, as and when required by the organization for the furtherance of its goals.

    • Work experience with relationship building, networking in central agencies, managerial responsibilities, curriculum & research work, demonstrating superb project delivery and leadership skills.
    • Logical and rational thinking supported by strong analytical skills.
    • Project management skills with a lot of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in written and oral communication skills in Hindi and English.
    • Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, ability to analyse complex qualitative and quantitative data, craft workable solutions and recommend actions.
    • Advocacy, Research and Facilitation skills

    Experience

    • At least 6-8 years of experience in the Development/Education/Governance sector.
    • Having a prior experience in project management is essential.
