- Selection of components like valves, flanges, fittings and piping / tubing
- Selection of field instruments like pressure, level, flow & temperature, regulators suitable for various process conditions
- Reviewing bid documents, warranties, incoterms payment terms and experience in handling customer's terms and conditions.
- Responsible for the order acquisition activities for all Aftermarket systems for respective area of responsibility.
- Responsible for reviewing and interpreting AM customer specifications and translating customer requirements to an appropriate P&ID, BOM, deviations or exceptions list.
- Reducing potential changes by getting upfront agreement and providing technical guidance.
- Responsible for developing competitive cost basis, applying approved margins, and calculating appropriate selling prices and lead times for AM systems quotations.
- Generate clear quotations that the customer understands and support AM Sales.
- Coordinate Sales Approvals for AM inquiries as outline in our Sales Approval Policy.
- Assess scope impact of change orders and generate formal documentation to support cost adders and schedule impacts.
- Responsible for sales support of the global Commercial Operations organization, and the coordination of all cross functional activities with End User Sales Group.
- Drive & coordinate actions that will enable Operations to achieve orders at the market level price while leveraging our relationships with key end-users.
- Interface with regional supply chain and operations to ensure competitive, "best in class" prices are provided on competitive bids.
- Coordinate with seal Application Engineers to ensure alignment of quotes
- Support in "global specification review" for Alliance and/or major customers to ensure local end user requirements are being met.
- Support in developing project strategy for seals and support systems that will ensure our success on capital projects for local end user customers.
- Interface with OE & EU sales group to ensure Flowserve specification or at least acceptability on projects.
- Qualification: B. E / B. Tech (Mechanical/Chemical) or equivalent degree.
- Experience: Around 2 ye
- Have a high standard of written and spoken English as well as strong PC skills and experience with Microsoft Office tools.

The Seal system Applications Engineer for Commercial Operations AM is ultimately responsible for supporting our Customers and End-User sales team & Distributors channel as related to our Aftermarket offerings with the main target to increase our seal installed base and therefore our seal AM business. Support is given both to outside parties and internally to Commercial Operations Front-End Application Engineers as well as other cross-functional parties (e.g. Engineering, Operations, etc.). In this position the Seal system Application Engineer will be working with multiple product lines involved with mechanical seal support systems.
